Wow, Bob, a sneaking suspicion you say? I wonder when that suspicion sneaked in? Was it about 7:30 Tuesday morning?

The guy has 10 career points! He hasn't even worn an Oilers jersey yet.
Let him get his skates on before handing him the Norris shall we?

Of course he's a lock, they have no options. It starts to drop into ECHL quality after that.

Can't they just put the bottle and the phone down for a minute and relax until there's games being played to make these kind of claims. It's ridiculous.

The Edmonton media?? Not bloody likely. This is their time of year to exclaim that their Oilers are just the greatest hockey team to ever grace this planet. It is so nauseating. Every summer, the same mouthpiece blowhards spew the same crap that they have for the previous twenty summers. Do they ever learn? Of course not!! Too stupid to learn!!

I actually love the Oilers media at this time of year. With the exception of last season, they do an excellent job of getting everyone in Edmonton excited about the Oilers. At some point, the Oilers almost always disappoint badly, and it makes those tears come out so much more salty and delicious. Thank you Edmonton media for properly marinating this amazing delicacy.

Fresh off the presses in the statistics don’t lie but liars can count category…Staples proves that he can’t actually read numbers.
https://edmontonjournal.com/sports/h...rse-fred-shero
You will be as surprised as I was to learn that Mavi is a heavy hitter with snarl and can be called upon when the going gets rough…what with his ranking of 207 of all nhl players in the playoffs with 5 hits per 60 minutes. Draisatl was #255.
4. The good news is that the Oilers can count on veteran players to step up when it comes to aggression in the playoffs Janmark did not throw a high number of hits in the playoffs but he played with a tremendous amount of snarl in the playoffs. The same goes for star forwards Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, who can crank up the physical play when necessary.
Very good of staples to include Broberg as well; number 287 with 0.85 hits per 60.

You want some epic salt and tears?
Oiler will start the season 9-2-1 only to miss the playoffs by a point.

It's a good thing they picked up Savoie.
Prospect pool is getting into baby pool territory for depth.

It's getting close to the end of August. Pissy's agent is either full of #### or they may not get a deal done. I'm kind of surprised how Oilers fans aren't even worried.

They aren't worried because to them, it is unimaginable to them that a player wouldn't want to play for the Oilers. There are two types of players to them. Those that are lucky enough to play for the Oilers, and those that wish they played for the Oilers.
If Draisaitl was wishing to sign at a team friendly discount like fans and media are saying, there is no reason why they deal wouldn't be done yesterday. .

Is Draisaitl in North America?
If not, i could see them waiting to announce til he is, but if he is here....gotta be bad news for the believers.

Seeing some social chatter about DeAngelo too.
This is starting to remind me of times in the past nearing the end of highly competitive flames teams.
Oh this guy's not so bad he'll play with McDavid (Iginla) and it'll work out, or all we need is a defensemen to come in play limited minutes and he can chip in too so much on 2nd play powerplay (Barrie), or this guy will really surprise no one is taking him into account (emberstrom or whatever his name is), etc etc etc.
A bunch of ifs, what ifs and maybes....that never work out in the end...
