New temporary fear unlocked.
I guess I'm wearing a hoodie to bed and pulling the drawstring on the hood for a few nights until I find the moth in my house and get rid of it. There's been a large moth in my house that keeps flying into the TV when I'm watching something or playing games with the lights off. This one is about the size of a loonie and big enough for me to hear the thudding when it flies into things.

I mean, I've got to put my radio down first, take out my phone and keys, I dont want them getting wet and then I try to fish him out with the Pool Skimmer first and that didnt work so I tried that long hook they have for the pool cover but he just wouldnt calm down enough to grab on.
People are screaming and yelling and I'm thinking:
"Hey! You guys are already in the Pool! Why dont you swim your ass over here and save him?
If I get in there I'm going to be wet for the rest of my shift, my clothes will be all damp when I have to drive home, it'll get my car seat all wet and that'll take forever to dry...it would just be miserable. A really miserable day."
But hey!
Good news! If you make it out alive we offer swimming lessons!
Bad news? I teach those too.
I had one and they took mine away. I used to be 'Ness Monster' and now I'm just a 'Franchise Player.'
I too blame PepsiFree. Why not? He's as good a scapegoat as any.

I literally lauged out loud. Or chuckled audibly. Great mental image though. The skimmer cracked me up.

ok take a break. Google.
It says I should kill the moth with alcohol and maybe it will float out?
I grab a bottle of vodka and pour it into my ear.
I can hear this little bastard fighting for its life and drowning.
It quits moving, now I have a dead moth in my god damn ####ing ear.
It 100% does not float out.
It is still stuck in there
OK, get dressed and drive to the hospital.
its 1:30 am and no one is there. I see the nurse immediately
( thank goodness for small town hospitals).
The look this nurse gives me when I say I have a dead moth in my ear is pure disgust.
You know something strange is happening when the Doctor comes almost immediately to see you. He is ####ing stoked to check out this bug. FML.
He takes one glance and is like oh yeah, there's a moth in there.
Sure enough he goes in with his forceps and pulls out

anyways now I have to go back in a week to make sure that this moth didn't

That must have been a horrible experience. Thank heavens you had the presence of mind to put it out of its misery by dousing it with vodka.
I think I am going to start sleeping with a bottle of vodka next to my bed.

I got back into working out about a month ago and it has done wonders for my mental health. I really look forward to it.
Yesterday, while playing softball, i pulled my hamstring. I have never had that happen before. Just sort of felt like the muscle "shifted"
I truly hope i am not out for an extended period of time

Depends on the pull. I had to quit softball for a variety of reasons.
1. I had pulled both hamstrings, twice each, playing soccer. The problem with softball for me is that its 'explosive' effort.
You go from standing still to a sprint to a stop. Next batter? Again, from still to sprint to stop.
My hamstrings just couldnt take it anymore.
2. Shoulder. My shoulders are screwed from Rugby, one little pop from a throw and my shoulder is in agony for months.
I quit Rugby and Soccer for similar reasons, just too many injuries from when I was young that just come back and the recovery time is just brutal now that I'm not a kid anymore.
So I gave it up.
Hopefully you heal up soon. Hamstring injuries, in my long and very experienced injury list are in the Top 3 worst injuries.
Because theres not much you can do other than ice and compression, but moreso?
Its about trust.
After multiple Hamstring injuries there was always that little voice in the back of your mind:
"Do you make that sprint? Do you go for that ball or try and take that base? Whats it worth to you? Your Hamstrings can go at any second."
And once that trust is gone, its hard to get back.

IronMaiden just forgot to turn off their ear light. Always remember to turn off your ear light before going to bed and you'll be fine.

Or maybe this problem requires a better solution.
I haven't needed a night light in a long time, but maybe it's not a bad thing to go to bed with the soothing colors of a blue light bug zapper in the corner.
Sorta related, but I want to take my kids camping (err, glamping) and I want to have like 2-3 blue light zappers to improve the experience, but also as entertainment. It might be like mini fireworks.

Nah. AI will be able to handle the video editing with ease even without said changes.

I can't stop laughing imagining a group at a camp site huddled around a large blue light bug zapper instead of a fire pit.
