What were you guys doing in the 2000s? I was working jobs left, right and centre while going to University and all the while gaining accounting experience.

I worked 2 summers working multiple jobs.

And I volunteered as a Youth Soccer Coach!

My boss, who I've known for 19 years and respect more than anyone else in my entire professional life, and has been dealing with cancer for 3 years, has been put under sedation and is not expected to wake up again.

I'll expand in what is now becoming my 'Jobs Thread' but no, nobody 'died,' a little pool water was ingested, albeit that comes with some problems of its own...

Apparently when little Johnny is splashing around like a lunatic you're supposed to 'rush in and save him!'

I mean, I've got to put my radio down first, take out my phone and keys, I dont want them getting wet and then I try to fish him out with the Pool Skimmer first and that didnt work so I tried that long hook they have for the pool cover but he just wouldnt calm down enough to grab on.

People are screaming and yelling and I'm thinking:

"Hey! You guys are already in the Pool! Why dont you swim your ass over here and save him?

If I get in there I'm going to be wet for the rest of my shift, my clothes will be all damp when I have to drive home, it'll get my car seat all wet and that'll take forever to dry...it would just be miserable. A really miserable day."

But hey!

Good news! If you make it out alive we offer swimming lessons!

I woke up at 12:30 to the sensation of a moth crawling into my ear, it immediately gets stuck and starts desperately biting scratching and flapping its wings to get out.

I grab a bottle of vodka and pour it into my ear.
I can hear this little bastard fighting for its life and drowning.
It quits moving, now I have a dead moth in my god damn ####ing ear.
It 100% does not float out.
It is still stuck in there
OK, get dressed and drive to the hospital.
its 1:30 am and no one is there. I see the nurse immediately
( thank goodness for small town hospitals).
The look this nurse gives me when I say I have a dead moth in my ear is pure disgust.
You know something strange is happening when the Doctor comes almost immediately to see you. He is ####ing stoked to check out this bug. FML.
He takes one glance and is like oh yeah, there's a moth in there.
Sure enough he goes in with his forceps and pulls out
THIS FULL SIZED GROWN ADULT BIG AS A QUARTER MOTH.
MOTHER ####ER
anyways now I have to go back in a week to make sure that this moth didn't

unfortunately it was very real. I am just glad I have access to a Dr. if this was 500 years ago I would have died from a moth to the ear.
