It's about as unbelievable as it gets. I don't know if there's even words for that.
You can point your finger at me and try to make me out to be a monster for thinking the future of the world is more important than things that possibly happened 30 years ago. If that's your jam, go ahead and do that I guess. But if your goal is to get the world to a better place where there's less (preferably none at all) sexual abuse happening, making a huge deal about Bill Clinton at the DNC isn't the way to do it.
Look, we need to all be on the same team here. We have a shared goal of getting to a better world where climate change is tackled, poverty is reduced or eliminated, inequality is reduced, and everyone is free to live their lives without fear of persecution, violence, abuse of all kinds. Let's try to get there, while avoiding pitfalls along the way. Trump winning is one of those pitfalls.

You’re changing the minds of so many Canadians who will illegally vote in this election. You’re fighting the good fight.

That's right, that is the end goal. So why risk that momentum, that moral upper hand at all? There is no question that Trump is unquestionably worse. No question that everyone should be doing whatever it takes to keep that from happening.
But with all the noise around Clinton, 30 years ago or not, I personally find it distasteful that they would trot him out while trying to keep that moral high ground. I'm not a sexual assault survivor, but I would have to think at least a few would be offended by putting out someone less creepy, but still creepy.

I have to apologize. I'm not in a proper state of mind today. I got carried away in the Bill Clinton debate and said an immensely stupid thing about women. I retract that comment and apologize for making it.
The reality is, an accusation can be enough. It was foolish and shameful of me to suggest otherwise.
I don't know what caused me to lose my mind and say such an thing. Arguing for the sake of arguing is a habit I really need to kick.
Probably will be stepping away from the board for a while.

I'm so glad the Dems chose Walz over Kelly. Comparing Walz's speech to Kelly's tonight is night and day. Walz had people up and eating out of the palm of his hand. Kelly was putting people to sleep.
Honestly, outside of a few hiccups, this might be the best campaign the Dems have run in a long time. We can still ask for more out of them, but this is better than the usual "trip over their own dicks Democrats."

I wouldn't step away, there's no reason to. I admit I was cringing at some things you were saying, but it's all good. This is a high stakes election and everyone is on edge, wondering how things will go. Discussion is a little disjointed and intense and yet this is probably one of the more peaceful discussion on the internet over teh American election, haha.

I'm glad the GOP picked Vance. That donut shop clip was gold. "I don't wanna be on video."
"I'm running for Vice President."
"Okay...."

I think TayTay is absolutely petty enough to show up just to spite Trump for using AI images of her.

I was thinking the same thing after watching Buttigieg. I like Pete and I'm sure he'll continue with a big future, but Walz's charm is next level.

I don't think you need to step away. I apologize if I went in a little too hard.
I've done a lot of volunteering to support survivors over the years, and have many friends and family members who have survived things that would horrify most people, so I definitely get pretty agitated when I see someone like Bill coast by without facing any consequences for the stuff he's done.

Yeah, that was not a great showing. He's better off the cuff. But JFC watching him with Giffords is tough emotionally; Kelly is clearly a great man regardless of how good a speaker he is.
Hopefully Ruben Gallego can get a bit more polished over time because the dude is a good prospect for the Dems.

Absolutely. Would never question the man's character. He would be a perfectly acceptable, inoffensive pick for any other campaign, but this isn't just any other campaign.
