I agree, he's almost more awesome now that he's a bit more subdued with a "I'm f***ing over this" attitude.

But just like there's a segment of Democrats that think Clinton and Pelosi hurt the brand, some think Bernie hurts it too.

I wish there had been a Sanders/Warren ticket at some point but we're unfortunately probably past that.

It's definitely peak Liberal to scold leftists for rhetoric and tone police them rather than try to actually acknowledge their points.

Congrats, you've accomplished nothing, unless you find yourself closer in alignment with the civil fascists on the right rather than the emotional do-gooders on the left.

Well, you’re literally telling him what to think and what to do.

I’m not sure how taking issue with someone sharing a totally harmless opinion, blaming them for fascism, and telling them to mind their own business because they brought up concerns over having someone speak who has incurred several rape and sexual assault allegations… is supposed to be better than taking issue with someone who has incurred several rape and sexual assault allegations.

If taking issue with those things is fruitless, insufferable, and fostering division… uhhh… what do you think you’re doing?

Nope, peak Liberal is telling people they are bad for showing up to a place where someone who 98% agrees with you on everything was speaking, and feeling righteous for pointing out that he did something bad, so everyone who listens to him is bad. That is peak Liberal.

You might be right, you might be wrong. But I just scrolled through 4 pages of people arguing about how a guy who is not the candidate, who has not been convicted of anything, and will not have a direct influence on policy regardless of who wins, is effecting your view of this convention.

It's politics and if I were running a Jeffrey Dahmer wanted to vote for me, I would take the vote. And all of this if before we get into the proven facts about the other guys misconduct.

Take a lesson from Tim Walz, mind your own damn business, people just want to be left alone for the most part, do good things and don't police the thoughts of others (just their actions). Especially if it doesn't have a direct impact on the outcome or policy direction. And stop dying on every hill you see, it doesn't make you righteous, it makes you dead.
TIL, legitimate criticism of sexual predators is what's causing the rise of neofascism in the West.

The 4 pages of arguments was from people trying to justify his presence there. People could have just said "yeah, not a great look," and moved on.

Also, for those of you who keep bringing up Trump in relation to Clinton, this one's for you.

Look you idiots you’re either 100% on team blue or you’re working for the enemy. I have no ability to user my higher cognitive functions and can’t grasp that this is exactly the MAGA behaviour I mock as a cult. Why don’t you understand it? Don’t bring up bad things, only say good things, and if you don’t you are the reason the other side wins.

I find it downright disturbing and gross. And not just randos on twitter, but media people on the right. Really ugly human beings.

The justifications for the cult behaviour are almost identical, too.

MAGA: "If Kamala wins, it's the end of America as we know it. The communists will have won."

Blue MAGA: "If Trump wins, it's the end of America as we know it. The fascists will have won!"

Obviously MAGA is dumber, because Kamala is very firmly a neoliberal, but the cognitive dissonance from Blue MAGA is pretty funny.

To be clear, I'm fine with you criticizing Clinton. It's the seeming expectation that the rest of the world meet you where you are in the criticism I find baffling.

I understand that people who aren't as familiar with the accusations as I am might not agree. However, most them are very credible and the sheer volume of them should be enough to at least cause some concern for people who are aware of them.

If you go through my posting history, I'm pretty consistent in terms of criticizing sexual assault and sexual predators. Clinton has never expressed remorse for any of his past transgressions, which is a huge reason why I think continuing to give him a platform is gross, especially when you claim to be the pro-women party. Obviously they're more pro-women than the GOP, but the standard should be a little higher than that.

It's very odd that some posters want to dismiss the allegations against Clinton due to how long ago they happened, but will happily bring up Trump's rape of E. Jean Carroll, when they happened around the same time. There are also similarities between what Trump did and what Clinton is accused of during that timeframe.

Just seems like an exercise in intellectual dishonestly that makes me believe that they don't actually care about the acts committed, just using it as a political weapon against Trump, which is tremendously disrespectful to Carroll and other survivors of sexual assault.

Also, as Itse pointed out, what's the upside of having Bill speak at these things? From a strategy standpoint, the folks who are pro-Clinton are all going to turn out for Kamala anyways, and it risks alienating younger female voters.

I still cant believe how utterly ridiculous it was for a major political party to announce their delegates like a Ms America pageant?? lol so cringe.

but I guess if that's what it takes to take down the Orange Cheeto than I support it... lol

Girlysports here on CP refers to Bernie as a "left wing nutjob". And unfortunately there's a segment of the American population that sees him the same.

The best part of this election cycle has been the Dems finally leaning into being mean girls and really highlighting the GOP for the lame dorks that they are.
