Mikey's Juke Joint is relocating to Bowness, so there's that.

It's unfortunate. I went there a few times pre-pandemic for some music events. She seemed like a nice person, wanting to support local musicians. But she started posting more and more "freedumb" stuff as time went on, so I eventually gave up on the place.

Its like Keith's Deli. I remember really liking it when i was younger. I went back a couple years ago and it was full of free-dumb propaganda. Also was not as good as before.

Just got our Enmax bill for the affected timeframe, usage from June 4 to July 2 was 4m3 for our house. Compare that to the same time last year and we used ~28m3, we were definitely watering our garden and such during that time in 2023.

Wild, we still used 9m³ and I can't really figure it out. We had very short showers, limited toilet flushes, no watering at all.

Almost the same for us. Four people - 24m3 last year, 4m3 this year.

Hell, we used 8m3 last November. It really seemed like not a major inconvenience to cut our water usage to half of normal. It's alarming how much we must constantly waste absentmindedly.

How much cheaper did your bill get? Probably less than $10

Interesting it was only $37 less. Looking at my last Enmax bill there are two water charges that are by the m3. One for the supply of water ($1.4643 / m3) and one for wastewater treatment ($1.6905/m3) for a total of $3.1548/m3. Using 24m3 less over the month should work out to a ~$75 savings.

We felt pretty good about ours, family of 4

~20cu last July,
~15cu last August (I think we often get to the point in Aug where we just let the grass die).
~10cu the rest of the year.

We dropped to 6cu on this past month

This feels like a SNL skit. White hats...really?

I mean good for San Diego for sending those pipes but a white hatting ceremony is ridiculous imo.

Because of the cost of the hats or what?

The guys who got us those pipes did more for the average Calgarian than most of the celeb types who come through.
