Yay hose watering!

Less time standing outside getting eaten by mosquitoes.

Amazing how many of my neighbours had the sprinklers going at 11am when it was hot and the sun blaring. What's the point when it's that hot?

Wait until evening or morning when the water can soak in and not just evaporate when it hits the ground.

I just drove past it and it looked as bad as it was initially (coincidentally drove past it right after it happened the first time)

Hoping it’s not another several month problem.

I just saw photos on a friend's socials. It looks bonkers. Hopefully it's not the same issue.

Doesn't look like the feedermain. Probably a regular water line break (we get lots of them every year).

From the pics I saw it seems like it's just a smaller feeder. It's a block north from the main.

Feeder breaks in bowness/montgomery seem to be a monthly thing

It makes sense. The amount of stress on the immediately adjacent water lines probably damaged a lot of them.

It's closed down Bowness Road from 49th to 51st st. Lots of emergency vehicles on scene.

Proposed class-action lawsuit filed over Calgary water main break

By all accounts the cafe owner is a lunatic so this isn’t a surprise.

Only if we can put the streetcar back city-wide, including the route out to Bowness.

Both of these breaks happened in Montgomery, not Bowness.

She’s the Theo Fleury of cafe owners. She has had some diversity that was not within her control, and some that probably was. The place became a bit of an anti-everything place during and after Covid.

Her last event before Gondek blew up the pipe to spite her? A book signing for Tamara Lich. She is, of course, free to run her business as she wishes, but much like WOP guy, I prefer my food and drink without a dash of freedumb on the side.
