Nah - He was on and off the taxi squad a lot that season.
EDIT: The D was Gio, Hanifin, Andersson, Tanev, Valimaki, Stone, with Mackey and Nesterov around as well.

I'd love to have Oliver back in the organization. I think he's still a developing player, and he has lots to offer. Maybe the Flames and him will circle around again, who knows.

Looking at that roster...2 players are left that played on the big club in 2020/21 that will be on the Flames in 2024/25. Backlund and Andersson, that is it.

At this point as long as Kylington doesn't sign with the no goods it is what it is.
I still think there is upside to his game if his mental health allows him to continue playing. I would hate to see him go to Edmonton on what I would consider to be a team friendly deal under 2 mil per.

Kylington began requiring waivers in 2020-21, but he was caught in a blueliner logjam and only played eight of the 56 Flames games that season and spent two-thirds of the season on the taxi squad.

Kylington coming back and signing with the Flames would be perfect just to see the fallout. Do those who are going so hard after him twist into a pretzel to find positives in the signing? If he performs and is clearly above a replacement level guy, do people dig their heels in or admit they saw it wrong (doubt it!)?

I realize Kevin Dahl wasn't very good, but in the days of NHL 94 I always thought it was cool that the Flames had both Dahl and Dahlquist.
