What's really interesting about this 2015 list is that it's actually pretty deep with NHL talent after the top five (four of them flopped), and outside of Bennett.

About damn time. Morin's invite to the WJC camp should be telling about his capabilities.

He's next for me.
Such a shame this year was a loss, I bet he explodes when he gets a full year though

He has been my fav (high risk/high reward) prospect the last few years. Was thrilled when we drafted him and have been tracking his career (without actually watching a lot of his play) closely. I don’t know if it’s all the shiny new toys or the injuries and struggles after he got back last year but I seem to feel less optimistic that he will put it all together. I hope he gets a lot of opportunity this year. It would be cool to see him develop some solid chemistry with one of the defensive dmen in the system.
I think I’ll be voting for him after Stromgren and Morin.

Having guys like Poirier, Solovyov, Grushnikov and even Kuznetzov turn into something over the next year or two would be a real bonus with guys like Parekh, Brzu, Morin and Mews coming up behind them. It'll allow the front office to continually flip Dmen for other assets if they can start to produce NHL Dmen from that first crop of guys who already have a few years of pro under their belts.

Stromgren again for me. Followed by Grushnikov as he screams NHLer to me. But really, Stromgren I think is going to make the jump very soon.

With the benefit of hindsight of course. Few NHLers that had impact in the end.
We have a much deeper D prospect pool already.

I voted for Morin for I don't how many times now. It seems to be a bit of a ledge after Morin now. I am a bit undecided between a collection of players that include:
Stromgren - Gritty, great skater, good hands. The type of player in my organization that I would vote for being most like Claude Lemieux/Sam Bennett - players who increase their points in the off-season. I see him as a middle-six guy - maybe a 2nd line winger, probably a very effective 2-way player on the third line (and that's valuable to me).
Poirier - PP QB. Parekh is going to handle all of the PP1 duties starting fairly soon (2 or 3 years max, i would bet). The burning question will be which prospect ends up being the PP 2 QB? I see it as a battle between Brzustevicz or Poirier. Poirier is extremely dynamic, and hopefully has (like Kylington and Andersson before him) found a few more gears on the defensive side of things. I think he probably has. Sucks having so much time away with injury, but I am hoping he comes in ready to battle for a spot. I am going to guess that he will raise some eyebrows at camp/preseason.
Suniev - is he really going to be a strong producer at the NHL level? I have a hard time figuring out where to peg him at right now. He is definitely interesting.
Klapka - I find myself sort of grinning here. He led the Wranglers last year in goals scored, and points. For a huge man, he certainly is flying under the radar in a way. He is a fantastic skater, and he can surprise with his shot and his ability to actually make plays. Plus, he is taking boxing lessons. I don't have him quite as high as the guys I mentioned earlier (and i am sure I still have a few after him as well), but if there is one guy in this organization that I think will really surprise this year, it is Klapka. I would love him to develop into a strong 2-way 3rd line player on a checking line. i think he is going to be a bit better than your average 4th liner, and I do believe with his reach and skating, he can be a very good player defensively as well as becoming a 'disruptor' all over the ice with his forechecking and physicality. I actually hope he doesn't get into too many more fights. i like his toughness and willingness to stick up for teammates, but I would rather he focus on his shot, passing and winning more battles along the boards.
Battaglia - I really love this pick quite a lot. It is impressive how he spiked in production this season similarly to Senneke, and he plays a similar game. He is most likely going to be a middle-sex powerforward who can produce, but maybe he has it in him to be a top-line player. Great skater, plays a hard nosed game, but also has some silky-soft mitts. I find him to be one of the more intriguing players, and a guy that will probably start making a lot more noise.
Hoskin - mystery man to me. Lower league, late bloomer, older prospect. Doesn't scream like much to me, but then why pick him? Especially, why pick him where he went? The scouts must have a good read on this kid that led the league. Might be nothing, but it might be a home run pick.
I can go on. There is a lot to like at the next ledge. I do think that Morin basically is the end of the line where it comes to top line forward, top pairing defencemen ceiling (though there are always surprises). This next ledge has a lot of good talent. I do have Solovyov ahead of Grushnikov personally, but I do have them a bit lower than some of the names mentioned (but probably around where I have Klapka, more or less). There are a tonne of really good supporting pieces, plus the chance of being more than that left. Lots and lots of good depth here.

Yeah, I was voting Morin for a while as well.
And I agree there is a ledge. From here, I like Stromgren and Grushnikov, as guys that could be full time NHLers as early as this year. I suppose I should put Solovyov with them, but I am not as big on him.
Then a group of raw talent that includes: Suniev, Battaglia, Mews and Misa

I'm a huge fan of Suniev and he might not even be in the top 12.
Prospect pool is certainly drastically improved.

The biggest change to Stromgren's game over the past year is he has gotten a lot stronger and has gotten much better at protecting the puck. He is very hard to knock off the puck now and the rapid increase in offensive output in the second half of the season is a result of that. He's playing with a lot more confidence, too. A year ago I thought he was a long shot, but his game projects to the NHL really well now.

There’s discussion in another thread that Pelletier might hit waivers in September. How he is ranked ahead of Morin is beyond me. If Pelletier was a prospect for another team, would you trade Morin straight up for him? I sure as hell wouldn’t.
To each their own though

I just think it's interesting to note some of the best NHLers in that list were out of the top five and top ten in voting.

Definitely interesting to look back and wouldn't be surprising at all if it happens again
