The only real unbiased study that's been done on this is the Cass Review from the UK. That study contradicts all those claims.

I completely understand an organization cancelling an event due to harassment, but part of me also kinda says f### it...just go ahead with the event and call the cowards' bluff.

Of course I don't know the full details, but it really bothers me that a bunch of these events and initiatives can be defeated by a group of idiots so easily.

Agree that it’s tough without knowing the details, but it’s hard to tell the difference between a coward and a psychopath much of the time, and I completely understand not wanting to put on an event with what you believe is a credible threat of violence hanging in the air.

Not just for your own safety, either. I can’t imagine the pain you would feel putting on an event with threats of extreme violence being made and having even one of them come to fruition.

I suppose the threats to the individuals is considered the danger as opposed to some kind of terroristic attack on the event/participants. That makes some sense, but my personal GAF meter is drained when it comes to these giblet heads.

They've rarely if ever shown the stones to actually follow through on a major Pride event.
