Also, he signed that "hometown discount" after posting a "Thank you, Edmonton" letter like the type players post after they leave a city. So, you know he wasn't planning on re-signing until they made him the best offer.

Flames trade with Philly for that pick, Oilers finish with 13th overall pick, flames with first overall Oilers win lottery move up to 3 but flames own the pick and pick 1st and 3rd.

Connor brown extended too. 1 mill 1 year. His bonus from last season counts against this year’s cap.
It was fantastic when he and Markstrom were in the points race against each other.

i had a thought this morning.... wouldn't be amazing if you worked at ea sports and could somehow get a bunch of code into the nhl video game where if you are the losing captain in the cup final and you win the conn smythe a screen pops up and asks if you want to be a captain/leader/adult and go accept the trophy OR.... not
