I'd dance with the devil and take a first with Kane. Obviously buy him out immediately. Don't want him in the city limits.

Debrusk is a name we have seen connected to Calgary but I’ve been told Calgary won’t offer the best contract available. Edmonton would love to shed Kane to get him but unlikely before July 1.

Carrier is re-signing with Nashville apparently.

I would take Broberg + 2026 2nd to take Kane and buy him out immediately. Buyout costs $1.125MM for 4 yrs.
Have 20 mins to get it done.

If a team matches an offer sheet, they can't trade the player for one calendar year from the day they match.

Chabot is a cap dump at this stage of his career. Doubt anyone wants him at 8 million a year too much. Offensive dman who is not that great of an offensive dman who is pretty bad in his own end.

If there’s a deal to be made with Ottawa, I’d bet it’s Weegar the Senators want. Locked up long term and a local guy.

I would do that deal with Andersson replaced with Weegar.

Let's not exaggerate. He had a pretty good season offensively, marred by injury, and his defensive stats, while not world-class, were certainly not bad.

He probably had a better season than Andersson.

|
A well-functioning powerplay would definitely help, but PP points were only ~36% of Huberdeau's points in his last four years in Florida.
In his Calgary, PP points are ~31% of his points.
If anything, it seems like playing style and mis-utilization is still the main culprit of his underperformance.

Grain of salt aside, I would love to get Farabee. He’s not the biggest, but he’s got a mean streak, and a physical game to go with his offensive game.
I wouldn’t mind picking up any of these players, tbh

He’s fast too. But I don’t why he wouldn’t be part of the Flyer’s plans going forward. He’s only 24.

You mean, like: Bennett, Tkachuck, Dube, Mangiapane, Andersson, Kylington, Valamaki, Pelletier, Philips (it was Sutter’s choice not to play him)?
Treliving deserves criticism, but no need to make things up to try to get a cheap response.

You're not a real hockey player until you score a goal, lose a tooth, and clash with John Tortorella.
