lol give it up man, all these recent joiner "flames fans" defending the Oilers like FFS we aren't idiots.

Kane and Perry did something so bad their former teams got out of 7 and 4 million dollar contracts yet they served Zero suspension time and were immediately allowed to sign with the Oilers for pennies on the dollar. Come on now, its not totally rigged but there was a league push to get McDavid in the finals and both those guys are absolute dirtbags.

It's not just Kane.

Perry is trash, and so is Leon. Nurse got beat up by a teammate. Bouchard.

As much as it sucks its Edmonton that is winning, its just not a good look for the league. You have players who had contracts terminated and Edmonton came running to rescue them, and now they are rewarded with the ultimate prize.

Again it would probably be easier to stomach if they had better humans on the team.

This is one of the worst collection of Dbags since the 2011 Canucks.

If you really think about it, Florida ####ed up so badly that even if they win, the stories will still be about Edmonton's come back.

Truly embarrassing for Florida. It would be a Stanley Cup with an asterisk beside it.

Yeah, the heads of the NHL had an emergency meeting to figure out how to get McDavid a cup...the best they could do is get an injury prone kane and 40 year old perry...who both suck and contribute nothing..

The Kane contract is the worst because he is getting paid 7 million a year but the Oilers have a 5 million dollar cap hit. 2 million free bucks on the cap allows them to be 2 million over every year of the contract.

Speaking of the cap even the LOL Connor Brown overage cap hit is now worth every penny. Not only are the Oilers winning the cup, he has been a big piece in the Finals.

Perry also had 4 million terminated to then sign for 775k... so thats another 3.25M cap break to have him on the team. So 5.25M of cap circumvention completely allowed by the NHL

Perry scored a goal in a one goal game 5 win with elimination on the line so IDK
