Dubois could be a buy low too, but if he isn't that contract is going to be awful for the Caps for a long time and with his attitude issues, he could play well for a while and then it could fall apart again later.

Kuemper was one of the better, more consistent, goalies before going to Washington.

Always injured in Arizona Kuemper?
I would imagine the Kings aren't done looking for goaltending help.

In ancient times, there was a computer that shipped with a really primitive text editor – a mere stopgap. That wasn't good enough, so the programmers rushed out a quick replacement. They called it SOS, for ‘Son Of Stopgap’. Not what the customers really wanted, but it got the job done OK and lasted several years.
Kuemper is the Kings’ SOS goalie.

Yeah, I'm sure if you took a poll of young professional athletes they'd all be lining up to live in Winnipeg or Columbus over LA.
And don't even get started on LA in the '80s. Unless your only understanding of it is through movies from then, you'd realize that it was a vastly more dangerous and dumpy place back then. Do you think the LA riots happened because everyone was living in harmony?

I don’t know if I want the next flames generation to play Huberdeau’s style and approach
Nice guy sure but sometime they finish last

That’s just how stupid CZ’s comment about LA was. Even threw a switch on opendoor.
If there was one comment that begs harder for a “tell me ___ without telling me ___” type of response, it was that one. I’m not even sure CZ has even seen LA on television at this point.
“Bigger crap city than Winnipeg”

Between this and curves saying Swiss Chalet is better quality than fine dining I’m beginning to think some of you are a little weird.

Yeah, but it sometimes works. Just look at FLA. Reinhart and Bennet both high picks that didn’t reach their full potential until draft+ >6 years. Or look at a guy like Duchene. He’s bounced around a lot, and I’m sure Ottawa and Columbus are disappointed in how he played for them. But Dallas still made a deal for him based on his talent and pedigree, and he was great value this season.
As for free agency, GMs know almost all UFA contracts will look bad in the back end. They’re not idiots. But they’ve made an organizational decision that the next 2-3 years are more important than years 4-6.

The "sometimes it works" really just feeds the hope of GMs when they make these usually bad decisions. Frankly, PLD was brought to LA to be put in exactly the same situation as Bennett - playing centre behind an elite two way centre. And he lost that job right quick.
