How so? I’d love to see the data.
Some teams get swept and some get to 2-3. Why would you attribute that to emotion, rather than randomness or skill?

Sweeps aren’t that easy.
This one just felt like a long series and it going 3-0 was amazing but probably not expected. I think that impacted the last few games and how we viewed things.
It gets corrected tomorrow.
Florida wins the cup in Edmonton.

I think Ekblad is hurt from when an Oiler fell on his ankle and I think Tkachuk has a bad hand or shoulder. That’s their 3 best players outside of Bob.
For the oilers, Drai, Kane and Nurse are all hurt.
But that’s advantage Edmonton because mcdavid is healthy and that’s all that matters. It’s live and die with mcdavid.

Was just watching the National on CBC News and they devoted about 15 minutes to spewing a bunch of Oiler propaganda, basically saying that all of Canada is behind them.
Disgusting.

Yeah, if they don't take a morning skate or do anything else to prepare on game day.

Yet I have read that ratings are only slightly up north of the border. They're up significantly down south, since Americans love their starpower. McDavid draws viewers in the US, but the Oilers are not "Canada's Team".

I'm countering pedantry with reality.
When normal people say they are getting two days off, they mean two whole days, not 48 hours between shifts.

It’s 2 days. Not hours.

One of the days between game 4 and 5 I was watching CBC News during lunch and they switched to an interview with Pissy. I changed the channel and waited atleast 10 minutes and switched it back. It was an interview with Skinner.

Sports is always spoken as days between games. Not days off before they go for a workout or a skate.

Ok keyboard warrior. Maybe go make some friends in real life instead of arguing with everyone you can on a message board.
It’s a 2 day break. Dumbass.
Wednesday and Thursday. Friday is not an off day.
Some people.

It is always spoken of as FULL, 24-HOUR days between game days. Not time elapsed between the last minute of one game and the first minute of the next.

Even granting your silly assumption (which nobody does), 69 hours is LESS than three days. Go buy a calculator.

Oilers win a couple and we start turning against each other... Please let it end tomorrow, otherwise this is going to be the endless summer nights from hell.
