Stampede was an obvious yes.
The event itself could easily afford to truck in what ever its water needs are before canceling. So then your left with just the hotel use as incremental load. And again that small incremental load could be trucked if it was acute.
People seemingly don’t understand that cutting a small amount of water is really important but also this is the least significant crisis we have faced. High consequence if you run out but very simple to mitigate.

I think generally people are fed up with the state of infrastructure, parks, and facilities.
Potholes on every road, once a city with good roads now in the bottom percentile nationally.

People see their property taxes go up every year while the city physically looks like its headed the wrong direction.
Well unless you are mad at the city for not having psychic powers to know that the pipe was about to burst, I don't know what this has to do with potholes or dandelions...
It's amazing to me during times of crisis like this, how there are scores of people who magically become pipeline experts, project managers, master of all things construction, public relations advisors, engineers, etc...
In my boomer-filled Facebook community group, there was a guy who was complaining how in the photos there was no one working on the site and claimed it should be done in days. His qualifications? "I workED in construction".
Someone else who was complaining about how Gondek looked like she showered and why did her hair look good.
Well now that all the advanced degree information they obtained in virology and epidemiology over the last few years is no longer required, you can't expect they'll let all that exceptional grey matter sit idle, do you?

So I quickly checked the comments in r/Calgary and r/Alberta, barely any comments in the Alberta sub and mostly sarcasm in the Calgary sub. Where are these "leftists losing their minds" posts exactly?
