With how incompetent NHL officiating is that's impossible. They will think of stupid #### to call that they wouldn't against Team Golden Boy just like they did against the Kings, Canucks and Stars.

The biggest thing that Florida can do is just not be chicken####s when it comes to getting shots on net.

Thats how the Panthers win, simple as that. Oilers are still average at 5 on 5, cannot give them powerplays, especially since they'll have 1 or 2 mandated by the league. These playoffs have been pretty gross when it comes to calls and non-calls.
Easier said than done.

The refs call anything that happens to McDavid and nothing when he does something that is not allowed.

I’ve seen him dive, have seen him whine. And at the same time seen him high stick and make the guy bleed, constantly cross-check players, and even grab the puck in his hands for a few seconds while the refs watched.

Funny and tone deaf. Oilers-bought Sportsnet pumping your tires doesn't make the country, bud.

The only hyping I've seen is from people who were already Oiler fans. If you go to a bar and there are no drunks in Oiler jerseys, no one cheers or reacts.

There are a few casuals who have said "I guess go Edmonton" but that's after they cheered for Vancouver in round two who were their original choice. They don't really don't come off as invested, probably because you take one look at that team and your gut tells you this is just a gross collection of individuals that happen to play north of the border.

If I'm Maurice, I tell my players to lean into it. Finish your checks, play the body as you normally would. Take the penalties as they come. They had one of the top PKs these playoffs. Stay as physical as they were and keep Edmonton on their feet and backing away from contact.

The Panthers have been the best team when it comes to shot suppression in the playoffs.

They also put pucks on nets.

LA, Vancouver and Dallas all teams that really didn't put pucks on net.

Unless the Oilers are doing some type of black magic, I can't see the Panthers suddenly not shooting.

Imagine winning the lottery having your friends, family and community cheer you for getting a chance to move to a better place and be successful. Now a year later you’re back in the trailer park because you spent it all and screwed up. Now you somehow win the lottery again!
Are those same people going to be happy for you again? No the #### they aren’t!!!

But that’s what the oilers have done. But 4 times!!! In 7 years they did and they still have the support from the park

This is an existential crisis the likes not seen since 2011. Seeing Kane, Perry, Draisaitl, and McDavid on the Cup under Edmonton Oilers is just as bad as seeing Kesler, Bieksa, Lapierre, and the Sedin twins under Vancouver Canucks.

This simply cannot happen. Reality, as we know it, will collapse into itself infinitely until time and space no longer has meaning.

Tell your god to ready for blood.

As sickening as it is (especially if you have a tonne of lippy Greaser fans in your life like me), the thought of Matthew Tkachuk lifting the Cup on Greaser ice is so satisfying that'll it'll make everything worth it lol

100%. No one in the west made them pay a price. Which is really pathetic given the gauntlet the west has been for years.

I don't think it's possible, they are going to give the mandatory calls for Edmonton and you just have to live with it. The best hope is that they keep calls limited and that the refs don't steal the show.

The key for the Panthers is to keep somewhat pace with the Oilers on the PP, they've been at 23ish % so far. If they can do that, I think they'll win 5v5.

Considering he was public enemy #1 up there for a time, that would be amazing. It would wipe all the bad taste away.

Make it happen.

Honestly not the worst thing. Edmonton Elks have lost so many games over the last few years their attendance has been non-existent and their poor economic status is bad for the rest of the league. This should sell 5 more tickets.

Oilers barely touched the puck last night...zero PP goals in the series and it goes six. Dallas choked big time, Ottinger made 8 saves yesterday. If the Panthers drive the net they will win....and I cant see them not doing it.

We should see if they have time for a quick parade at the Calgary airport on the way back to Florida.

The Panthers literally went through a gauntlet, while the Oilers had the easiest path to the finals ever and they still got pushed to 7 by a terrible Vancouver team and 6 by a Dallas team that looked like they quit.

Shesterkin put on a goaltending clinic.

The west is actually terrible, which finally cleared the way for McMickey and the boys to make it to the finals. They avoided Vegas, and a shell shocked Colorado team. That's it out west 2 good teams.

The east is so much better. Edmonton doesn't even make the playoffs if they are in the east.

I am sick to my stomach, I can't think straight, how could this happen.

This was Ryan Lomberg's first NHL game. He fought Kassian, Tkachuk got 2 goals, and Bennett played.

McDavid got kicked out for abuse of officials but of course they let him participate in the shootout.

Yeah the Dallas PP failed them. Especially in game one with that 4 min PP in OT. They had a chance to set the tone. I do think the Panthers can make this happen, and it may be beneficial that they have played one less game.

They should have been blasting it on net every chance they got. If it gets blocked and cleared who cares. You have 4 minutes and a chance to soften up some players.

I have high hopes that Tkachuk, Bennett, et all will drive the Oilers nuts. Bobrovsky has been better than any other goalie not named Shesterkin in the POs. And Barkov/Reinhart have been fire in the POs. I think they can play head to head against McDavid.
