The Kings were a bad team so no one expected them to put up a fight anyways. But in the other series, the Canucks and Stars at times seem to not show up. If you watch hockey over the years, there is usually push back from each team throughout the game. In the last few games the Stars have been lifeless.

But if you can look at games 6/7 of the Vanc/Edm series, and games 4/5 of the Dal/Edm series and not feel that one of the teams isn't even playing up to the standards of the previous games of that same series, then...I don't know what to tell you.



It really feels like I'm watching a pre-season/pre-Christmas outing, and not playoff series. Which is really weird, especially given the first 3-4 games of each series.



The Edm opponents are consistently no-showing for multiple games in a row, and it's noticeable to anyone not an Edm homer.

You think they all get together and decide - let’s not try tonight - before the game

Edmonton is (somehow) playing a style that on some level is contributing to these no shows by the opposition . Almost always when a team looks really bad a large party is due to their opponents play / game plan

Or the Oilers are poisoning these teams before pivotal games .

I hate to say this but full marks to the grease for their play through the neutral zone the last 2 games, its been masterful in giving the Stars fits trying to get into the offensive zone and its why shot totals and HD chances have been mostly neutered.

They have been a better team the last couple, but that doesn't mean it has to stay that way.

I suspect there will be a major push from Edm. right from the start....and if the Stars can hold them off early, their team is good enough to settle into what needs to be done to win. They just haven't done so in the last 2 losses.
