It is very fun to read, though.

Lol. Guys. The levels of cognitive dissonance and petty infighting going on in this thread it outrageous.

It's gotta be a riot for Oilers fans to read.
Oilers fans are too busy having sex with their siblings.

Disgusting

Have to think if the Oilers get past the Stars, regardless of what happens in the finals, that they try all summer to sign Draisaitl longterm. I have heard that McDavid and his lady like it in Edmonton but that he wants to win a championship. Signing Draisaitl is probably the key to show that longterm commitment. Suspect if they win a championship McDavid is a lock to sign an 8 year deal. If you are the Oilers you probably give him the max if you have to in that scenario and figure it out afterwards. Definitely not the greatest time to be a hockey fan.

I don't believe that anyone "likes it" in Edmonton.

Is McDavid Russian ? I don’t think anyone likes it in Edmonton unless they like 1930s Russia.

When the Oilers win it all the cup will have a lot of asterisks beside it. These are the worst playoffs of all time in the west.

It's time for Dallas to show some damn pride and actually show up for a change. At least push it to 7. Don't go out like a bunch of chumps.

They haven’t shown up for a game yet. Benn is a soulless coward who only goes after small guys.

Apparently Bourque is in tonight.

The Oilers play today, travel tomorrow, play Tuesday in Dallas, then travel home, then travel to Florida. Either to play the Panthers or to golf.

The Panthers are already in recovery mode. That's what constitutes a 'touch' of rest.

Bourque in for Dellandrea, but if we're honest it should be Pavelski who comes out.

Hell I'd put Lundkvist in for Suter too. Experience be damned. Fresh legs and maybe the reaction time is improved

I am going to be more sad that none of the conditions in the Flames trades worked out.

That's giving LA way too much credit. Not many people didn't concede that series and were more pissed that Vegas choked and Chicago blew it late the last game of the season.

Just win one period at a time Stars and take it back home and blow them away. But please show up on time and keep pushing.

It's not rigged, but the NHL definitely wouldn't be sad if their top star and face of the league won the cup.

The Kings were a bad team so no one expected them to put up a fight anyways. But in the other series, the Canucks and Stars at times seem to not show up. If you watch hockey over the years, there is usually push back from each team throughout the game. In the last few games the Stars have been lifeless.

The guys on Barn Burner said as much. Rhett said he's watching Dallas out here treating the games like it is pre season. Not giving full effort at all. Maybe some of it is because Edmonton is good, but to me the Stars look like a gutless team.

Yeah it's not "cognitive dissonance" or mass delusion.

Those were objectively poor performances out of LA and Vancouver, and a few putrid showings in this one too.

You can't argue that the opponents have fought tooth and nail to take those series. I've seen higher intensity from teams pre-christmas.

The only way they oilers were going to have a shot was if they were given a path and they got one.

I guess the pundits were right in that regard.

This isn't over though and teams that go 3 rounds deep probably aren't going to concede their season of hard work without a fight.

Stars need to shoot the puck as much as possible. Skinner is an average NHL goalie at best and he can be gotten to and rattled. Pucks to the net, and Otter needs to play his best game of the series. I believe the Stars can take back the momentum tonight and beat these clowns in 7. They have to.

He was falling over and getting out of position early in the last game. Was ripe for a shelling.

Too bad the Stars only unloaded 7 shots through 35 minutes of the game...
