Based on Mathews 2024 ratio, that means you'd be fine with him getting between 85 and 112 points.

Good to know.

Dammit Cliff, now you've got me sold on Silayev.

A good mock draft write up. Has us taking Connelly with our late first - which, sure!

The top 9 is going to be good. I’m just happy we have a chance at one of the D or grabbing Catton/Iggy.

Yup, I think you're right. We'll either get Iggy, Catton, or one of the top D. Exciting times.

If Conroy can some how turn Marky into 10th OA, maybe we get TWO of Iggy/Catton/Top D

I would want any of the top D (minus Parekh).

Celebrini, Demidov, Levshunov, Buium, Silayev, Dickinson, Lindstrom....Give me one of these 7........I just wish we were picking 7th.

I'm not a big fan of Parekh.

After those 7, I'd take one of Iginla, Catton, Helenius.....which is what I'm prepared for. They are interchangeable to me.

What I have heard on Anaheim is they are looking defence.

I have a feeling you have not seen Parekh play, he is unreal.

Parekh could instantly fix a power play. Might have some defensive deficiencies but you can’t deny his offensive talent.

Jarome draft year he had 71 pts in 72 GP. Tij had 84 pts in 64 GP. It certainly looks to me like he should be in the conversation like you say.

I keep hearing one of Levshunov/Demidov as 2/3. Silayev jumping into 2/3 would certainly be interesting.

THW having Helenius at 22 is laughable.

Your feeling is right on point. I've only done a bunch of reading on him and highlights, but didn't watch a full game. The others I've seen more of (1-5 games each), so I wouldn't say I have good intel outside of what I've read and watched on youtube.

Certainly worries me when I hear compete levels being questioned and poor defensively. The record breaking goals and points is of course nice.

Most on this board are sleeping on Parekh, mostly due to what I assume are defensive knocks against his game. But he makes up for that in spades on offence, he looks like a hybrid between Makar and Q.Hughes but yet put up generational numbers in the OHL. Big plus that he’s a RHS none the less.

It’s no secret he’s high on my personal list, but I’ve seen a lot of his games this year and think the defensive issue is a bit overblown yet somehow he looks like an offensive threat every shift.

Flames have never had a PP QB like this should they draft him.

More and more I really don't feel like Iginla should be the pick at 9

There are the 5 top dmen (Buium, Parekh, Dickenson, Levshunov, Silayev), the top 4 centers (Celebrini, Lindstrom, Catton, Helenius) and one other winger (Demidov) that really feels like they should be priority over Iginla at 9.

Now if you could trade for pick 10-12...and he's still there at that spot, then I would 100% be aligned with it. But if we only have our own pick in the top 12 then I feel like there are better players in more valuable positions still available.

Connelly with the late pick would be fine by me. But taking 2 LWs with our 2 1st round picks? Hell no, that would be a huge fail.

Jason Boukula (spelling?) was just on the fan and said there is no chance Iginla falls past the habs/Sens at 5/6. Interesting that he was so confident in his statement.

The Habs having Iggy Jr on the top of their list has been a consistent rumor since perhaps before the end of the season.

Last time this happened it was Slavkovsky draft.
