You can bet your purses the league would relish a NY-No Good final. Which is why you'll see them give both clubs every opportunity to succeed and suspend no one.

Today we will see the return of mentally dismantled Skinner.
5-2 Stars

Feels like if the Stars win tonight they can put the Oilers away.

I'm finally watching some of the actual news clips from the oiler's whining from sat night about lack of calls. I'd be embarrassed to be a fan of that team. Playoffs have ALWAYS been called different (as long as I've watched hockey since the 80's anyway). There are less calls, that's the way it has been for a long time. Playoff hockey allows more physicality and non-calls because refs don't want to decide games on ticky-tack calls. I wonder how much Knobby and his band of losers would like it if the refs actually called the oilers for every stick hold or cross check (McDiver would have been in the box for 4 min on that hughes play). Then they'd be whining about that.
I can't think of any team or coach that has ever complained about this. Now the no-goods think the entire system should change because their only key to success is diving for powerplays? What an entitled bunch of losers.

If they called interference how they should, the Oilers would be on the PK for 58 minutes.

From what I read Hintz would have played last game if it was more important, game time decision tonight.

Good. Down 1-0 in the series losing home ice advantage...NOT IMPORTANT!! hahaha Treat the Oilers like a tier 2 team that they are.

Found it! Not quite what I said but close enough.
“I’m optimistic he’s going to play on this trip, for sure,” Stars coach Pete DeBoer said Sunday. “He was close (to returning for Game 2), skated at the morning skate. I think had it been a Game 7, he probably would have played.”

Sportsnet is replaying Game 1 right now, watching McDavid get called for highsticking in OT and did he ever complain and cry. What is there to argue about? Stick in his face, penalty, shut the #### up and get in the box.
What a puke.

So apparently the whole La Bamba "controversy" (I.e. Oilers fans massively overreacting to something totally harmless and bullying the Stars arena DJ on social media) has now resulted in Stars fans donating over 10k to the Edmonton charity named for the Oilers fan who passed. Talk about taking the high road.

Stars played "La Bamba" at the end of Game Two. This upset Oilers fans as it was Joey Moss's song. They also played it for Ben, the child who died of cancer. Oilers fans feel like it's "their" song.

The Stars DJ played La Bamba after game 2 not knowing the backstory and ended up having to apologize after getting heavy criticism from Oilers fans calling him classless.
