I can’t see devils going helenius when they already have Hughes hischier and Mercer down the middle. Mercer already seems buried on 3C
I made that pick going by BPA according to most rankings. They use Mercer on wing and I don't see them changing from that, I don't think they see him as a C. Having a C depth of Hughes, Hischier, and Helenius going forward is really solid.

So now I know the order without further ado here is my projected top 16 mock draft.
1. San Jose Sharks - Macklin Celebrini
2. Chicago Blackhawks - Ivan Demidov
3. Anaheim Ducks - Artyom Levshunov
4. Columbus Blue Jackets - Anton Silayev
5. Montreal Canadiens - Cayden Lindstrom
6. Utah - Sam Dickinson
7. Ottawa Senators - Zayne Parekh
8. Seattle Kraken - Zeev Buium
9. Calgary Flames - Tij Iginla
10. New Jersey Devils - Konsta Helenius
11. Buffalo Sabres - Berkley Catton
12. Philadelphia Flyers - Carter Yakemchuk
13. Minnesota Wild - Michael Hage
14. Pittsburgh Penguins - Trevor Connelly
15. Detroit Red Wings - Cole Eiserman
16. St. Louis Blues - Beckett Sennecke
Kinda sucks that there are so many teams above the Flames that could use a dman. Would prefer to get one of the dmen in this draft but it may not be possible.
flames ain't getting Iginla with that position unless they trade up with one of theit fist round picks. I hope they use the latter 1st ronder in a package to move up.

That’s crazy to me. Nothing about iggy stands out so much that he barely breaks top ten on most lists but were going to give up another first to get him when he could be there at nine anyway??
I seriously don’t understand the obsession with tij other than his name.

He/s a sure and safe bet over others. Has size, grit, and good hockey sense. One of top 3 centers in this draft. Other than Celebrini and Lindstrom, Tij is what the F;ames need.

He hasn't been a C since the start of his WHL season and a brief shift for the U18's. He isn't going to play C at the pro level, he isn't nearly as productive. His huge climb up the ratings and production didn't even happen until he was put on wing.
The Iginla rankings are all over the map. Jason Bukula on 960 said he is top 5. Mackenzie has him 10th. I feel like teams like the Habs or Sens may grab him. There is a chance he is there at 9 but I am not sure or that confident he will be

I have celebrini (obviously) demidov, catton, lindstrom, buium, sylaev, yakemchuk, levshunov, helenius, parehk would be a coin toss to the scouts. Would take any of them ahead of tij. Top pair defencemen and top six centers always worth more than a winger and everyone projects him on wing.
Not sure how he has any more or less guarantees than anyone else?
Nor am i convinced we have anything that projects as a top pair defence except maybe brewster.
