Welcome Comrades!
Never been a member of a political party, and overall am pretty disenfranchised on the whole thing, but I finally feel like I may have a vote on something that can matter for all of us.

They still haven’t even destroyed Unions yet. One thing at a time.

I can't wait for Nenshi to rip Jagmeet a new one after he secures the leadership!

That would be his smartest move by far . Distant himself from the federal NDPs

It's not even rocket science. Notley should have done this right after Jagmeet started slinging boulders at oil and gas. Nice lady but what a terrible leader!
and Charlie Angus gave him the best ammunition of all time!

In addition to the $31.5 million to purchase the Dynalife operations, the $65.5 million in liabilities assumed by AHS include outstanding accounts payable, vacation liabilities and other administrative items, according to the provincial government.
Operational costs for 2023-24 amount to another $11 million and will be incorporated into AHS's budget moving forward.
There were no costs to Dynalife associated with the transition.
Hardcastle said it's unclear how much the entire process, including moving to and from the private system, cost taxpayers. She said Albertans deserve a breakdown of those numbers.
"What was the cost to transition it to Dynalife in the first place? And what resources did we spend making these deals happen?"

So we blew well over $100 million taxpayer dollars on this, and of course the private company also responsible for the disaster had zero punishment for failing beyond losing the contract. Whoever wrote and approved the thing in the first place didn't foresee any potential issues to write into the contract? Penalties for not reaching goals? That's right, Alberta. You put muppets in charge.

The only time I ever bought a membership was the federal Conservatives to try and vote Rob Anders out in a nomination (that was cancelled), this time getting one for a more positive reason.

Curious if folks joining the party via Nenshi's site comes across in the analytics that the party can see (I'd assume yes). Wonder what that looks like right now and the possible reaction it may be causing in the upper echelons of the party.

another member, here!
I am very interested to see what type of policies Nenshi is going to run on.
He's a super nice guy in person, not afraid to mix it up if he has to, and has been proven to be incorruptible

I believe in the Jays.

I’ve also signed up. First time I’ve ever done so. This one is too important.
Really hope Nenshi ditches the Federal NDP, and shows support for O and G. I believe that is not only the best winning strategy, but also the right thing to do.

Nenshi has the social justice side that lines up well. I’m interested to where he ends up on labour issues and economic issues. Economicly he’s much more conservative than the typical NDP is.
|
I'm interested to see how it plays out as well, but I'd be absolutely amazed if Nenshi didn't win the leadership election in a purple landslide.
Look at this thread, the last 50 replies are people buying memberships to vote for him.
