It's a reasonable price to pay, but the Jets likely get the Stars or Avalanche in round 1. So the help will be needed.
It also might be futile. But at least they're taking a shot, so hopefully they get something out of it.

People are mocking Conroy, but the market clearly is what it is right now. If you look at the assets moved out/in vs the market now, Conroy is looking very solid.

Keeping him in the pressbox doesn't mean he didn't have value, it just means Jersey under-utilized him. He is clearly showing that he is worth more than a 2nd, now that he is getting opportunity

Jets needed the added scoring, even if the player is slow and pretty one dimensional. When Monahan is putting most of the pucks in the net, you need a little something more in the goal scoring department.
Seems like they're always struggling to light the lamp coming into playoffs, so this and the Monahan move are good moves. Worth the cost if they're going to make a serious bid with prime Helle.

JC. We got a player who is on pace for 33 ooals this year. He is worth more than a 2nd. Why you want to continue to die on a hill that you don't even own, is beyond me

The only thing that matters to me is that they dispose of the Oilers if they meet. I'm happy they loaded up for this reason alone.
