There are multiple theories out there. But when different insiders have heard similar things, I find this place can get quickly dismissive unless it fits a more preferable narrative.

When those “things” are just the most commonly rehashed “thing” about this entire franchise… yeah it sounds like it’s for easy eyeballs.

There's probably a weird Venn diagram of people who think Conroy acted too soon on Hanifin and Tanev and too late on Markstrom. Also those who figured Conroy should trade UFAs at all cost and those who complained about the return.

Perhaps. But that gets less believable when they have connections to the team. And based on the activity that's gone on, some of their previous comments that were deemed baseless actually came to fruition.

The Flames won't retain thing was uttered by the same crew.

They've retained twice since.

These guys get thin information and extrapolate.

You can certainly believe it all if you want, but it doesn't take a sycophant to question it.

And I question the CP insider stuff too. Not saying I call it BS, but I assume it's the same ... spotty info with someone giving them a summary that may or may not be an effective summary.

All info is good.
