They have a full year of play now and it just doesn't seem to be a fit. 47 points, -25 in 81 games including playoffs.

But for the Flames do they take the risk that they can get a guy that was pretty much a PPG player in their division who is only 27 at a potential discount vs what it cost a year ago.

It's would be a lot of risk for the Flames to take on that contract. But the team was just willing to give long term deals at $8M+ to Hanifin or Lindholm that they didn't accept...so I don't think they are scared of it.

Yay! Even just the fact that Vegas is in on Hanifin means that other contenders like Florida and Tampa Bay will need to get more serious. Vegas does not mess around when it comes to acquiring good players.

This is why I said we can include Vegas in the teams he will sign with, one of my sources believed it was so but couldn't absolutely nail it down at the time.
