It's mind-bottlingly frustrating, too.

Some moments of good push but seemed like a team with the heavy weight on their shoulders of an incoming shakeup. Focus wasn’t there throughout and especially early and after the McCann goal.

Even though the chances were slim, you could kind of squint and see playoffs if Flames won both games in hand on Nashville before this game as that would've put them 3 points back. This loss should clear up any of that squinting and worry about losing the room, or having to take back someone you can slot into the line up in a Hanafin or Marky trade. Just go get the best futures deal you can. If it includes someone you can plug into the lineup right away, that's great but not needed.

If Pospisil keeps running around the way he does he cant hide behind the concussion issues forever. He can still be a pest without the dirty hits and swinging at other players and than turtling. He either steps up and fights or he adjusts his game to not cross that line. He can still be an effective pest without the fake tough guy stuff and dirty hits.
|
You're kidding right?? Tkachuk has fought a couple times but if they did a poll of the biggest "turtle" in the league I promise Tkachuk would win

Weegar, Andersson, and Kadri all had more ice time per MoneyPuck.

The way I see it;
Don't fight if you don't want too.
But also, don't make dirty hits that are going to make people want to fight you
If they try to fight you after a clean hit, do exactly what you did in the 2nd and let them take penalties.

Interesting, NHL has Noah leading
It's usually slow to update though, that could be the #'s from partway through the 3rd or something

Because he was fighting all the time. Especially when he first came to the AHL.

Someones going to light him up and he'll deserve it. All the "rats" still answer the bell when they occasionally cross the line. If he wants to play that way he cant hide behind concussions.
You go sucker punch someone and than try and tell them you have concussion issues and let me know how that works for you.

Guy made a mistake, its a 5 min penalty its not like it benefited him or the team...you look at it he was trying to hit him in the side

The trade deadline needs to be much earlier.
The conversation, the uncertainty. It's dragged on for an eternity. Everything should be tied up for the home stretch on like February 1st.

Im very aware of this. Thats why Im saying he needs to adjust his game. He can still play the pest role but hes gotta reel it back a bit from what were seeing now. It hurt the team tonight and its going to get him hurt worse too.

Missed the game so just catching highlights. Pospisil has to let up there, no matter how stupid a play Dunn is making.
Zero sympathy for Dunn though. NHL defensemen sitting there 3 feet from the boards in his own zone, in a close game, with his back to the play looking over his shoulder waiting for somebody to come to him? Are you serious? 13 year olds learn not to do that when they first learn body contact.
I loved the clip when little 5 foot nothing beniers gets a glove in the face of Pachal after the Pospisil hit. Pachal had a couple words and little tough guy beniers suddenly wants nothing to do with it.
Also, brandon tanev could use a shower and a shampoo. Looks like an inhabitant of seattle's tent city. Goof.

Now time to start the hardest road trip. Win all 3 and there's still a chance as slim as it may be. Sluggish game tonight for sure

Might be a controversial opinion, but I would consider selling high on Pospisil if there is a team that loves him.

Yeah.... I'm not sure I disagree
I maintain that you need guys like that, but I don't see him still being effective by the time we need it.
Don't shop him by any means but if decent offers come in, pull the trigger
