Not at all. I haven't been taking the time out of my childadulthood life to share with CP.

It is interesting. I wonder what the top value of Tanev is on his own? I would ask Holloway and 1st from Edmonton. They probably wouldnt go that far.
But in relation to trading him to Dallas, for example, are we potentially leaving value on the table by adding him to Hanifin?
I.e. if we think Hanifin is worth a 1st + top prospect + (if he resigns, more)
and if we think Tanev = 2nd + prospect or 1st
We'd have to be careful not to get sucked in by really wanting a certain player and leaving too much value on the table. Stankoven alone isn't going to cut it to balance that type of package out, especially if we're retaining. But how much more could we reasonably ask for then one of the top prospects in the league?

Edmonton would be fools not to accept Tanev for a 1st and Holloway. Their window is closing and rapidly now all why they still have glaring need at D and goaltending, which is either red hot or ice cold, they have no stabilizing presence. From the flame’s perspective helping out a bitter, bitter rival with their exact need has to come a larger cost than a non rival.

I think Dallas will have to put together a really strong package to get them both. Conroy didn't minimize Tanev's value in the Lindholm trade. Don't think he will do it now.

I thought Hackey made the Seklund comment.

It's not a shot at this website. I have navigated here every day for the past 11 or so years since I first discovered it. I was only pointing out that the GM of a hockey club does not take stock in the opinions of fans on the internet. As they relate to on-ice matters, at least.

Of all teams Edmonton should be overpaying big, that team will be a dumpster fire in two years (I see the poster boys leaving).

Years ago Ken King reached out to discuss Calgarypuck and the importance of it to the organization.
He said it's amazing feedback for free for every department in our organization.
Would never suggest Conroy is ready CP for advice, but I would guess he's heard of it.

Yeah I don't know why the GM of a team wouldn't be aware of the largest gathering of their fan's opinions. It's an odd shot to take

I'd never heard that, that is high praise indeed. Sorry for any offence caused.
