Post like an adult? I’m 51 and have no problem with him or anybody’s gifs. Hell I even tried for 2 hours on Saturday to post a gif. Sadly I was unsuccessful. Maybe it’s time you realized that it’s not just youngsters that post gifs.

Ever think his sources don’t want him sharing verbatim. Posts in gifs so he’s not outright sharing and somewhat cryptic so he can share what he can without saying it directly. Conroy obviously got pissy because stuff was getting out. Then we all suffer

That's a good starting point for discussion. So breaking it out:

Hanifin for Bourque + 1st

Tanev for a 2nd + good prospect

That seems fair for the players, but we haven't addressed retention yet (which would be a must). If both are retained, I think they have to add to that

No one said they 'prefer' them to anything. This is the trade rumours and speculation thread - there is room for both. Also, the 'straight up reporting' is not all that frequent, it's great to get other snippets in between.

It's a way for people to communicate on social media and in group chats. I'd like to think the level of discourse is higher here on CP. Maybe I'm just reaching for the stars.

We shop at the same grocery store. Just I have to use the small carts and he gets to use the big ones. Still can't figure out why.

I'll preface by saying I've thoroughly enjoyed the inside info. I can't remember a more exciting Thurs night into Fri morning for some time a couple weeks ago.

Two things:
1. Have people considered that posting anything less cryptic than gifs could be TOO much info? Hence just enough for us to enjoy and speculate on, but not enough that could get the various posters in trouble.

2. We don't see this from the "legit" insiders because believe it or not, we're likely getting information BEFORE they even do. Also, they leak stuff because they can (and perhaps asked to for leverage etc). What we've been seeing is clearly even before they have.

All of this together, why the heck would you want to get in the way of this? This forum is the best hockey conversation anywhere, and I literally don't go anywhere else for info essentially. Now we're getting (what I believe to be) true INSIDE info and we want to make a fuss about how that's communicated?

Yeah, if both need 50% then something else would need to be added which makes the deal tougher. Does Dallas have a Kuzmenko type?

Sec214, when not posting gifs, is reporting information he's received from someone in the know. It's not journalism exactly, however it is better than rumours originating on social media or fanciful trade ideas that have little basis in reality.
