The real question is hoe well does Edmonton match against Vegas?

Makes me wonder if the roosters are coming home to roost from the decision to rush him back for the Heritage game. A bit of recovery time back then and modern drugs/therapy can cover an issue for a while, but if they didn’t let it heal properly, it’ll come back eventually. Maybe they gambled on getting through the season before the issue was re-aggravated.
He's also got a muffin. Doesn't need to be injured to struggle to shoot.

McDavid playing hurt would explain some of the extreme overreaction to a tough but legal hit that wouldn't hurt a fit player.

Not well.

Their best shot is if vegas' top dogs are somehow still down with injuries.

Who flew higher, McDavid or rookie Pettersson?

Impressive lift from Coleman. Looked almost easy.

McAvi. That hit was more Military Press than chokeslam. Pettersson got follow through on the slam.

Just watching his little feet in the air like he's riding an imaginary bike...mmm....whenever I'm having a bad day I'm just going to watch this.

Thank you Mr. Coleman sir.

If the Kings win tomorrow, No goods are back in a wildcard spot.

So I guess hope for LA to win against the oilers on Monday and then LA loses to the flames in OT the next night.

I had a very proud fatherly moment this weekend...

Took the family to the city of no good to hit up the waterslides on a winter weekend. We were having lunch at BP's (give me a break, the kids are 5 and 3), and when we were wrapping up, the server dropped off some ballots for the kids to win some sort of 'Oiler for a day' contest, where they can tour the arena, watch practise, and maybe get a jersey or something. As soon as the server left our table, my 5 year old son ripped up his ballot and proclaimed that the Oilers suck. Naturally, his little sister followed suit.

So proud, I nearly shed a tear.

The Hockey News has an article about McAvi's heroics in taking Coleman's hit.

Although they lost, McDavid was still doing McDavid things.

McDavid things, like his minus equaling his point total.

"When most players get hit, they aren't able to make a quick pass to a teammate. But that's part of what makes McDavid special."

Good Lord. Tons of players get hit while making passes. "Taking a hit to make a play" is pretty much a cliche. So is "got hit while admiring his pass" for that matter.

McAvi is about McAvi hardware at the end of the day. He's like a hyena with the EN more than with the fate of the game is in the balance.

Serial minus player again and it's not just an unfortunate circumstantial coincidence of the stat.

Players take hits to make plays every single night in the NHL. That's because it's usually when players are most vulnerable to take the hit.

Lol, its not like he sprung Hyman on the breakaway, he was trying to chip the puck out, and there happened to be a player in a blue jersey that was able to knock it down and make the pass.

By the way they talk its like he made the half ice pass to Hyman and then got hit. You can't make this stuff up.
