The stick check that led to the Kadri 1-0 goal was absolutely beautiful.

I think GM’s know what players can do, and one game makes little difference.
But it was an impressive game.
But GM’s already know he’s a very good dman.
He might be one of those few UFA’s worth their contract.

Maybe some GM out there right now thinks "I can't afford Markstrom, but what if I offer a 2nd for Vladar".

One of the most important games of the season for Flames fans coming up soon!
Devils absolutely need to beat Tampa to stay in the race and get their hopes back up. Fitz gna blast that final trade offer to Conny’s table after the W.

Interesting article from the Athletic this morning on the potential of trading Tanev to Edmonton.
https://theathletic.com/5297128/2024...-oilers-trade/
I know it’s been discussed here but I think Conroy has to do what’s best for the Flames. If that offer comes from the Oilers, you do it.

Conroy must trade with whoever is giving him the best deal. If its Edmonton so be it. Oilers are no good at drafting Craig would make better use of the draft pick for the Flames.

If Edmonton really wanted Tanev, than they can continue to really want him. They can pound sand lol

What’s the gist of the article? The paywall prevents getting to the point.

Trading Tanev to Oilers would just be down right disrespectful to the player.

The offer of Broberg or Holloway?
No thanks. Those two are bordering on busts.

Broberg or Holloway have to come with a 1st. Only way a deal works. And if we have to take back Ceci or retain there has to be more coming back.
To EDM
Tanev 50% retained
Ceci
To CGY
2024 1st
Holloway
2026 2nd (becomes 1st if reach WCF)
Screw the Oilers, they aren’t contenders. If they think they are make them pay.

It would be very Edmonton to trade for Ceci. I would send Conroy a bottle of Dom.

If the Oilers gave the best offer definitely take it. They don't really have anything great to trade though. Best asset would be a 2026 or 2027 1st and hope they crap the bed.

Holloway doesn't do anything. Why would Calgary want him? He literally doesn't do anything.

If the best offer on the table is a conditional 1st (2nd as a base) then I think a 2nd and Holloway (my preference) would be the better package.
If it's a 2nd and say Ty Dellandrea as rumoured then maybe I like the Oiler package better, but not by enough to send Tanev to Edmonton.
So then you need more ... it it a 1st and Holloway? two 2nds and Holloway?
