If Vitek Vanecek is included for salary it could be another sneaky add.

91-42-17 with a .905 save % and 2.7 GAA over his career.

This year is the one bad season, but still 17-9-3 but a .890 save % and 3.18 GAA.

Vladar over his career is 36-21-10 with a .896 save % and 2.98 GAA

Might be a good tandem option with Wolf going forward and only 28.

I thought the same thing as well. That he's just having an odd year, and has been having some issues being an injury plagued Devils squad.

Just like Sharangovich and Kuzmenko he can easily rebound on a new team. He's played some good hockey over the years. We could do a whole lot worse than having him and Wolf platoon for a few years during the rebuild.

Mercer has spent most of the season on the wing. He isn't behind Hughes and Hischier and definitely isn't competing with them for icetime.

He's averaging 17:00 a night, the highest so far for his 3 years as a pro.

I'm pretty sure he's quite happy playing for the Devils.

Holtz on the other hand is the guy looking for an opportunity, he would be very much like Sharangovich and Kuzmenko.

He is probably happy as a Devil right now but he also probably wants to play centre eventually. I also think he would be happy playing for the Flames given he is a Canadian.

With the Hanifin rumours, I'm hoping for both Holtz and Mercer. That way everyone is happyish.

Gotta say, I think Haynes is spot on with these takes (as per usual).

Nothing that happens in the next few games is going to change this. It's the long term plan that needs to be followed.
