I do have a weird feeling that if something is going down between the Flames and Devils it will get announced after the games tonight or early tomorrow morning.

As for Pittsburgh's Guentzel situation, that just means the value goes up for our guys. Ownership has really f'd themselves in Pittsburgh by doubling down on their core and adding to it this off-season with Karlsson. They very well may be in a worse situation than the Flames because they'll refuse to deal Crosby, Malkin and Letang, and truthfully outside of those guys I don't think they have much worth anything for the future. By some accounts written last year those guys have been large voices on keeping it going. They have to take a back seat and let the GM do their job and rebuild, and that comes with trading some or all of them.

We all know Pittsburgh will win the draft lottery and draft McKenna 1st overall in 2026.

If all that is offered from every team is a 2nd at end of deadline ,that means that’s the market value.

Marek and Friedman were speculating this morning that if Vegas were to add, they thought left wing made the most sense. Would Mangiapane fit there?

Pick up Mercer and play him between Huberdeau and Kuzmenko. Sharangovich to Kadri's line along with Zary. Pospisil plays with Backlund and Coleman.

This was a rumour started by the guy who started the "Hayes told Cutter to leave" rumour that Torts is still sore about.


Rick Dhaliwal asked a member of the Canucks organization about this rumour and the response was "Are you ####ing high?"

Yeah, if you're not going to retain the player, I don't get not trading him even if you're price isn't met. Conroy already proved he can make a trade that is good for his organization.


I know it goes back to the Cammalleri non-trade, and I don't remember if it was a 3rd that year, but there were good players available in the 3rd and beyond in 2014; Sorokin, Point, Toews, Arvidsson, Bunting, Shesterkhin, Forsling, Joshua, Blais, Olofsson

If not straight across for a 1st maybe Tanev goes for a conditional 2nd. Goes to a 1st if team reaches so far or else we get an additional 3rd.
