Probably Dansk, unless Vladar is feeling better.

I guess Reaves is a cap dump... but that return is very underwhelming honestly.
Robertson and Niemela have been around long enough to know they aren't going to be very impactful at the NHL level.
Nice try Brad.

Tanev to Dallas for 2nd rounder, to become a 1st is the Stars make WCF

So basically a first round pick. Do the Flames want another 5’9 forward? That may be enough to get Hanifin.

IMO thats an awful deal. They retain 50% on Mangi for next season (almost 3 mill) AND take Reaves terrible contract that has 2 more years after this AND give up the best player in the deal in Hanifin to get a whole lot of mediocre to bad assets.
Hopefully thats not the type of package Hanifin goes for. Thats awful.
I honestly just dont think the Flames and Leafs are good trading partners.

as others have said, not great for the Flames as you don't get value for either player and we eat salary???
Hanifin for 1st, 3rd, Reaves, Niemela
Mangi for 5th and Robertson
hard pass

Yea that’s not a package that speaks to the ‘wow’ Conroy gif. I think Hanifin + Markstrom head to NJ; Tanev + Mangiapane to Toronto maybe?

Wow, that is a brutal return. If they are sending Reaves back and we are retaining on Mangiapane it would have to be more like
2024 1st, 2025 3rd, Knies, Cowan, Reaves

What are the odds Markstrom is traded before the game against San Jose tonight?

I'd say highly unlikely.

Probably but it might make sense to start Wolf anyways 1) for the experience and 2) not risking injury to Markstrom if things are as close as Sec is implying

I would have figured the chances are decent if the deal got so close a couple days ago and if Fitz has come back to the table.

That's horrible. Toronto gets the two best players AND $4.867 million in real money from Calgary for a salary dump in Reaves, another midget, a mediocre defensive prospect, and three picks? The Conroy "wow" gif is perfect here. Conroy is saying "Wow, can you believe the pile of #### that Treliving just offered us?" and Nonis and Maloney are both recoiling in horror.

Unless Toronto puts Cowan on the table there is no sense trading a guy like hanifin to them.

Has Sec214 ever been right on any of his "insider" information? Serious question. Even once?

I don't think Sec214 is an insidrrrr that we should doubt. He's just passing on info from what I believe are legit contacts.
