Team that gets better as they go. Neat concept, sounds like good coaching.

I think the coaching is good too. I think that’s the ready for the steady improvement and consistent play.

He’s been playing well the last little bit but before that was a giant meh. He’s lost a step and is starting to decline.
He’s a good depth leader #5 / PK add for a playoff run for a contender. I just don’t think it’s going to be that impactful for the Flames to lose him. They’re becoming a speed/transition team

I wonder who was in the kids club that got the big dinner from Huberdeau. Pelletier, Zary, Pospisil for sure. Did Schwindt get to go? Was Wolf in town?

I think he’s taken for granted around here and will most definitely be missed. Phenomenal player.
Not sure he’s even in decline. He just ‘should be’ given his age and style of play. Not saying we shouldn’t trade an expiring contract though.

I would still make the trade, but I still think we miss him.

If we string a few more wins together here the playoffs inexplicably become an actual possibility, as weird as that sounds

I think it was Kevin Woodley, the goalie guy who mentioned that teams typically don't like to acquire goalies at the trade deadline as it takes longer for goalies to adapt to a new team's system than skaters.

Meh. They let the Isles run around in the zone and collapsed. Markstrom may want it back, but not sure what the Kadri line was doing there.
