I’m not so sure, they have yet to play games vs Jets, Kings and win a game vs Avs and Knights.

Ugh, poor players can’t win with this. Say they don’t want to stay they are villains, say they be happy to stay and we call them liars.

Given the last two offseason, we should be happy notable players are saying they would have stayed.

It's a great trade for both teams right now.

But... odds are Vancouver won't win the cup... and that Lindholm won't re-sign there.

Not saying it can't happen. Just less likely given there are so many other teams in the mix.

Boy does this trade look different with those eventualities come July 1st.

If all the Canucks do is go on a deep run, the trade will be worth it from an entertainment standpoint. It will put a lot of bums on very high-priced seats.

Not on the ice though and they could easily lose in the first two rounds

Flames can't really lose here

#### as a fan even winning a round would be a huge win for this season.

That's not good enough anymore. They have pushed their chips in; they need to win 2 rounds. And that's going to be pretty hard because they might play Vegas or Edmonton or both.

I gotta say, no team has really been standing out for me this season as odds-on favourites.

Not a bad moment to go 'all-in.' Everything seems to be lining up for them.

Unless Lindholm is a secret agent and sabotages them from the inside, losing key face-offs and half-assing the PK and then re-signs with the Flames in the off-season for like $4M all whilst cackling manically about never having sold his house!

Unfortunately you have to give it to the Oilers unless / until they remember how to lose games. If that happens you might be right.

Yeah, but they have had so many horseshoes shoved up their ass they're going to get heavy-metal poisoning.

Good video. Praises Conroy for the job he's done to date, saying all 3 trades have been wins for the Flames. Also interesting when he says that he heard that Conroy basically went to teams that had expressed interest in Lindholm and told them what the specific price was and they had a chance to beat it or someone else was getting him.

Its fair enough.

Like Hockeyguy15.

I wonder where the corpses of the other 14 are buried. Will the world ever know? Unlikely.

What I really love about having Conroy as gm is, I don't ever have to hear the word "process".
