I've been running a cold water bidet since the TP craze of 2020, and I was quite fond of the "ass-gun" in all of the SE Asia toilets I frequented. I can't help but think that if you need to spend the extra $$$ on a warm water butt cleaner you must be 10-ply soft

It might be covered in this thread but can someone explain the process.
Do you dry you 💩 hole post spray?
Sit and let it drip dry?
What about aim, how do you ensure you hit the mark bullseye?

Mine has a dryer fan and the aim is adjustable with the remote.
Not sure if that's the case for the add on kind though.

Sit and let it drip dry? Little dab will do you
What about aim, how do you ensure you hit the mark bullseye? You might have to shift a tiny bit. If you get a direct hit, you could end up with a bonus internal cleanse.

Rented a ballin' mansion in Vegas one year for a boys trip.
The Japanese robo bidet was definitely the highlight.
Still think about it sometimes..

Their live-in bathroom attendant pats them dry.

I never liked the dryer fan in the bidet, seems largely ineffective. Would be nice if there is a Dyson or Xcelerator powered one out there.

My first thought was “vacuum” and then I thought that may be a very different kind of device.

I've got a decent one off of Amazon, where the water sprays hot and cold for $100+. I love it. I definitely like the Bidets they have in Japan where it heats up the seat but too much for my blood.

I was looking at a bidet but the Gas-Powered pull-cord one seemed a bit extreme.
"Whats that? We're having Indian tonight? Alright Honey...fire 'er up!"

Most commonly they have a tank or on-demand heater. So instead we just extended an outlet since we had the wall open already. I still haven't purchased a toilet or bidet yet.

Yes, that's how I do it. You can go two directions, the model I have has a "cleaning" feature, that is essentially running water directly downward into the bowl. You turn that on when we initially sit, and it immediately draws from the hot water line (which takes a minute to warm up).
It's true other models might have alternate ways of solving this problem, but with an absolute bare-bones setup, running the water for a minute is fine.

Warning - bidets are awesome but if you have active pets who can jump up on the controls, keep your bathroom door closed.

Oh man. Teach the cat to use the toilet and the bidet… that would be perfect.

Make a choice, keep the pet or keep the bidet.

Following up, I installed the two bidets today. Specifically, I bought this one.
First, the install is pretty dead simple. If you can turn off the water value, put a towel behind the tank, unhook and reconnect some braided stainless steel lines using an adjustable spanner, you can install one of these things. Teflon tape is included in the box.
So what's the verdict? It's great. Cheap, easy to install.
Notes:
1. You guys are really blowing the whole 'cold water' thing waaaaaay out of proportion. It really isn't that bad.
2. There is definitely some 'positioning' adjustment you need to get used to, the jets aren't all that well-aimed on these cheaper ones IMO, and I think the 'feminine hygiene' jet is actually meant to be used by women facing the opposite direction (sitting facing the tank).
8.5/10, dry wipes are for suckas.

More questions.
How does it have that pressure without the possibility of blowing crap up your back, or scheisse all over your undersack and lap if you don’t have a fat to fat seal while sitting.
The toilet if get it on doesn’t have the sink nearby so I assume heating feature is out of the question.
Do they have most the hardware. Nothing in this house is ever standard.
Can you cack on the spigot?
What’s the diameter of the jet spray.
Electrical needs to be near else’s having an extension cord nearby.
