Would that have happened if the situational room was in Calgary.

The NHL is a joke sometimes. Could have had a nice story about a rookie scoring a great hard working goal and instead we are debating a hand pass.

There needs to be a 5s time limit on infractions that lead to a goal. Also just get rid of the challenges and the situation room. Move one of the refs upstairs in front of a video monitor instead. They can be in radio contact for any missed altercations and review every scoring play.

Everything about the NHL sucks except for the fact it’s hockey. Take me back to the Kelowna Spartans games, sitting there with my dad, not a care in the world that it wasn’t pro. At least it felt like a hockey game should.

Same here. Not a single dollar since that series.

I haven't spent a put a cent towards the NHL since spring of 2022 either.

Other than the pandemic, last season was the first time in I don’t know how long since I didn’t go to a game.

I guess, it depends how you’re watching.

I have Via Sports, so I am supporting the NHL. I used to have SN Now, subscribing via a VPN and GCL before that.

A surge of sport on the .net would solve that problem

Is it hockey though? Is it hockey if they don’t call the rules or only call them a certain way to drive pre-determined outcomes for the sake of making money?

How about no longer watching any games live and you fast forward all the commercials and intermissions?

Still counts towards audience numbers that advertising revenue is based on

Yeah. Last night kinda broke me. I know it sounds lame and petty, but if that's how we're gonna decide games count me out. I'm out tonight. No plans to watch

Allowing teams to terminate a contract and then allowing the player to sign with a new team in the same season is also bush league tbh. If a player did something bad enough to have his contract terminated, how is this even possible?

It's more an indictment on how the oilers run their trash organization.

The rest of the league had the sense to see why we don't offer Kane and Perry contracts shortly after being terminated with cause by their prior clubs.

Any team with an inkling of integrity says no thanks, we don't reward that behavior. Even for our own team's gain on the ice.

I agree, but the league shouldn't even allow it. Like the player who asked not to be drafted due to a sexual assault, then Mtl drafts him.... it all just reflects badly on the league.

Yeah
It doesn’t make sense
Fire someone for egregious actions from one franchise of an organization and allow them to immediately start working for another franchise within your organization

Nope, cancelled SN the day after the Coleman "kick" BS and steal the games from Mario. Works better anyway lol.

2 players do something so bad their teams are off the hook for 7M and 4M contracts but not bad enough for any type of suspension. Both sign with Edmonton for bargain basement prices. Perry is just okay with losing millions now? Gary dropped off a bag of money at his house to keep things quiet. Media doesn't even question it for fear of having their dicks slapped.

add another log on the fire
