I think we said the same thing.

Today is the third game he's on the roster - so after tonight by the normal rules he would be required to return to the Flames.

But as getbak said they can apply for an extension which would allow him to stay on the AHL roster for 2 more games - which would be huge because they Wranglers have a big break and he could stay on the roster until 19/20th of Jan.

So my question was if they if they have applied for that extension.

I believe it is games played by the player and not just overall games played by the team, so tonight should be Game #1 of his Conditioning assignment.

I checked the CBA and it doesn't specify games played, but that's usually what it means.

Supermatt's post a few above yours is correct, games count weather he plays or not so this is game 3 and the flames can request an extension for 2 more games.
