Huska: "He's going to get an opportunity to get into some team practices."
Cull: "It's nice to have him for our practices."
It sure does sound like there are no immediate plans for Kylington to play games just yet. I am so excited to have him back practicing again, but I am betting we are still more than two weeks away from seeing Kylington playing any games at either level.

Is this assignment restricted JUST to practices, or can Oliver also play in AHL games? Or, does that require yet another hurdle to clear?
He can play up to a maximum of 5 games (officially, it's 3 games, but they can request permission for him to play an additional 2, which would almost certainly be approved in this situation). He can stay with the team and practice for as long as it takes to play those games.

Will be interesting to see if the Flames apply for an extension to his conditioning assignment - based on the normal rules tomorrow would be the last eligible game.
”In talking with our management group, our coaches and our medical staff and of course Oliver, we all feel the next step in his return to play, if you will, is getting into some games,” Pascall told Sportsnet 960 The FAN’s Pat Steinberg.
“In our discussions with him, we’re looking to have Oliver in the lineup with the Wranglers tomorrow against Ontario, and we feel overall for the organization and for Oliver, it’s a real positive step.”

“He’s really been immersed with our group in meetings, on the ice, off the ice, workouts, and in the team environment,” Pascall told Steinberg. “What we’ve seen is a lot of smiles, and really (he’s) just excited to be at the rink and excited to be back in a team atmosphere. In talking to him, he feels really good.”

Man, I really hope he's able to get comfortable out there quickly.
Obviously the flames could use an injection of talent, but just seeing a guy fight through hardship (whatever it was) and find his way back is inspiring.

I'm kind of chuckling at the thought of the conversations within the Campbell-Pascall/Pascall household and imagining both Cassie and Brad repeatedly saying "If you will".
