He reached out with his free hand though, so the refs were just calling it as per the rule book.

Give the 'Hawk defense time to make a (negative) difference!

Second game of a road B2B for your guys? Not a bad period. Your guys dominated play for stretches. And getting 2 odd-man chances on the PK? Not too shabby.

Pk is literally the Flames strong point, followed by 5v5. Pp is the worst thing about this team by a country mile.

Don "Yes, I still work here" Maloney seems to continue to believe that Markstrom can lead the Flames to the promiseland...

Wait is that what Maloney said???
Playing poker it is. Which isn't a great choice when you look like ol' Maloney Baloney

Yep. Then said the reality of the salary cap is that they likely can't.

I take it that Vladar is preferred by fans?

I think it's irrefutable that Markstrom is our best goalie.
I also think a good portion of Flames fans are tired of mediocre rosters that can maybe get propped up by random spurts of elite goaltending being passed off as any sort of 'plan'.

So basically the plan is they have no plan. “We’d like to keep all of our players if we could.” That’s a winning strategy considering where we sit in the standings.

I don't mind the upcoming FA class as it is. Defense is a bit shallow for pickins though. So any runor involving D men coming back in trade is okay.
Byram, even that monkey rumor with the Rangers sending over Kakko and Brayden Schneider is a dream. Not so much for zkakko but Schneider is a Keeper IMO.

He also said in the same breath "but we can't do that".
So pump the brakes on the faux outrage.

Well I think the Flames are playing quite a bit better than the Blackhawks. It’s just that the score is even. The Flames’ centers, Lindholm, Kadri and Backlund, have looked particularly good. Vladar tends to get quite a bit of goal support, so we’ll see what happens.

GM’s/hockey ops aren’t gonna come out and say “yeah, we’re gonna trade all these guys!” to the media

Without heroics by Mrazek and Soderblom, the 'Hawks would be giving up 8 every game.
