I agree with you.
They should put that on their Travel Brochures.

I have no idea, I just still think its hilarious.

Come on, you've got to see the humour in that!

American hot dogs can be fine, too. People aren’t falling over themselves praising American cuisine.

Exactly. Korean fried chicken doesn’t have to be amazing to make it onto my list of go-to fast food. It just has to be better than the alternatives.
The grilled pork vermicelli at my local Vietnamese place isn’t amazing either. But it’s better than the shanghai beef noodles at the local Chinese place. Which helps explain why the former is always busy and the latter is dying.

Korean and Vietnamese food, whether the best or worst versions of them, are both awful.

Each of my kids got a $50 Mastermind Toys gift card for Christmas from my sister, and they stopped accepting gift cards on Christmas day cause the company is going bankrupt. They say maybe they will accept them once their sale to some holding company goes through, but I'm not holding my breath. Kids are pretty disappointed, and annoying for my sister who basically threw away $150.

Apparently I've been living under a rock and have never heard of Korean hot dogs. Where does one acquire such things? Make my first experience life-changing please.

Can she do a charge back if she bought it using a CC? I had heard that was happening, and it seems pretty crappy.

They're kind of everywhere. There's Hankki, 10th st and 17 ave SW by the pizza hut
It's a corn dog but you choose the flavor

Genuinely curious - what do you dislike about those both? That would be good info to add to the discussion.
I know some people hate cilantro - to them it tastes like soap. If that's the case, then a lot of vietnamese food will taste bad.
Korean? Do you hate garlic? Sesame? Soy Sauce?

I don't like any Asian based food- Chinese, Korean, Thai, Japanese even Indian but I am not sure it very similar to the flavors/Spices.
I do not know enough about cooking to break it down to a specific spice. I find Soy Sauce absolutely disgusting but I think it would have to be more than that. I also hate Kimchi which I don't think has anything like Soy Sauce in it.
And yes cilantro is awful, hate it on anything I have, but find it more in other foods than Vietnamese since I do not eat that.

A Korean hot dog starts with a corndog, remember those when they were a traditional food at every midway/fair? They upsell by putting fancy coatings on the wiener-on-a-stick, putting lipstick on a pig, literally.

I hate cilantro, too. I literally cannot eat a meal with any in it. Apparently it's a sign of intelligence, so that's kind of cool.
Having said that, you can always order any of that food without cilantro. Chinese, Thai and Indian are my favs. Japanese is good, but I don't like seafood so that eliminates a ton of their stuff for me.
I have fun at Korean bbq places, but I think their fried chicken is super overrated.

Yeah, it was pretty weird. With two young kids, we usually do "East Coast NYE" so we can watch the countdown at 10pm MT and then go to bed. But this year, not only were the American tv stations not live, they were an hour behind, so we would've needed to stay up till 1am MT. No thanks.
We did eventually realize that Youtube had a bunch of live streams from all the networks. Sadly, we only discovered this at 10:02pm.
Speaking of countdowns though, is it just me or is the Times Square ball drop the most anticlimactic thing ever? Watching a ball slowly descend and eventually stop. Oooohhhh.
