Not really. What is absolutely tiring is whenever someone suggests a player they would like in a return and then posters with no idea say that player won't be moved. Like do you have a direct link to that team? No? Then you probably should refrain from saying someone is not available.

From 2019-2021 they picked 33 players at the draft. THIRTY THREE

That's plus 12 picks from their original 21

During this period they made the playoffs every year, won 4 rounds in 3 seasons, won a division title.

Then they "only" picked 7 players in 2022, but in last years draft they picked 10 players again. That was while winning their division 3 straight seasons and won 3 more playoff rounds.

Sustainable success starts with the draft. Flames need to do this, starting now. They've clearly been doing it wrong for way too long.

Canes are the model franchise. Lots of picks. Shorter term contracts. Willing to walk away from players and use money elsewhere. Goalies? Just grab two new decent ones each year and kick to the curb when they fail you. Maybe shouldn’t have relied on Freddy Andersen but over the years that Dunden has been owner they have decent goaltending.

I've seen thousands of trade proposals posted on the internet over the years now, and not one of them has ever happened.

Hanifin and Lindholm should return a first each from a contender and maybe some prospects

Based on these discussion, people are going to be severely disappointed. The prospects are going to be the Schwind, Heinman or Agostino type. Nobody, not even desperate contenders are going to trade their top prospects like Nemec and Holtz
