No no no, it's not about "leave Britney alone", it's more about "let's not make every single thing about huberdeau on this message board". Burning Beard ragged on this board last season for fans being frustrated at Sutter and the Flames, now he did a heal turn and rags on Huberdeau every day of his life.
It's just too much, that's all. We know. We know.
Why call out someone who is not even posting in this thread?
A shirtless AJ gives his perspective on the Flames win and their roadtrip challenges.
Nice sleeve AJ

was watching most of the game with a Bruins fan buddy and we talked about how great of a 4th liner he is...i would keep him for as long as his contract is reasonable.
and awesome Flames win!

Of all the things that Zary is doing well - and there are a lot of them - the one that surprises me the most is how often he wins puck battles. The goal tonight was a perfect example - with the defender leaning on him, you just assume that he will eventually lose possession, but he keeps driving through, maintains possession, and turns it into a goal.
Was saying to my wife last night that he's Calgary's move creative player. He creates offense by moving his feet and having the hands and hockey sense to find open teammates through seams.
This is getting on in sample size.
I think he's a top six key piece for the Flames and not just a great call up story.

Elite hockey sense. May not be the quickest but reminds me a bit of Tkachuk-light

*Not trying to say he's better than these guys - he's older, and has pro experience - but his performance so far deserves to be put into perspective, and talked about

Nice solid win considering we had 3 AHL dmen on the roster.
I think what most have missed about this game is the fact they took only one penalty. Sure Tampa scored on it and looked incredibly dangerous in doing so but that is why they won. Really fine discipline.
I thought the Gilbert tussle with Jeannot was a good one.
Sharky continues to look confident out there.
Weegar is blossoming into a bonafide top 2 dman. His two way abilities have sure grown this season. I’m happy to see that considering how bad that trade looked after last year. Tachuck getting to the finals and guest spots on NBA panels was super discouraging.
AJ Greer has been an amazing addition to this group. Him and Pospisl have given this team so much bite I’m the bord battles department.
Vladar played quite well too. He made some ten bell saves. No one’s stopping that stamkos shot.
Zary is just so composed and so cool out there. His skating isn’t the smoothest but he’s efficient. I’m really starting to despise that draft pick scenario less now.
Lindy has cost himself tens of millions of dollars. He’s a second line center. Maybe they can get a horvat level haul. Maybe! He will be more valuable at the deadline.
Huberdeau looks like he is trying to compete but he’s not that strong of a skater and his instincts aren’t working for him yet again. Really disappointing fall from grace. I thought he would be a lick for the Canadian Olympic team and now I don’t know if he would be a lock for a free streaming service for the Olympic hockey on Apple TV. I jest. He needs fast net driving players who can be decent at playmaking. Coleman and backlund just are a rung below what he needs but the two of them are solid together. Huberdeau needs a lot. Barkov up the QE2 showed what he can do. His play in all zones is game changing. Playing behind a guy like that lulls you into thinking this game is pretty easy and you can just coast on someone else’s coattails. Sigh. His effort has been better though so there’s that at least.
Good match. Bring back chucky and Benny. That game will be a good test. Flames still hanging around despite having a pp running a sub 10 percent. What a time To be alive.
And idgaf what those fair weather bums in Tampa say. IT WAS IN!! Flames in six show us your tits.
I will be so happy when that team stumbles a bit and the fans all disappear. They way they talk about their team is shameful. So much entitlement towards success rather than grace for the rarity of their achievements.

That may have been sarcastic, I can't tell as I know this board is mostly 35+ and you may not actually know her, but she's probably the most successful artist Calgary has every produced. It's actually really neat that with 50 million view follow up songs and music videos, her biggest is still her standing in downtown Calgary and filming her own music video with the Calgary tower, Telus Sky and Bow tower all featured.
That video has a staggering 228 million views.
Very cool.
Was she at the game? I PVRed it, and skipped through most of the play-stoppages.

Yeah they gave up a pp goal but I can’t be the only one who thought stamkos went down quite easily. You could call that 30 times a game if you let players flop.

It was the weakest of crosschecks. More like a shove.

What did you mean there?
Moving down twice and not taking someone higher up in the draft?
