Overreaction by the Blues fanbase, and really a huge stretch to compare any similarities to Huberdeau and Sutter anyways.
Context in Kyrou's situation goes far beyond a simple "No comment, not my coach anymore." quote, as the entire Blues fanbase and hockey world seemingly knows

If the Oilers lose to the Cats tomorrow in similar goaltender meltdown fashion, Oilers will be prime for a goalie trade.

To Edm,
Markstrom ($2MM retained)
Ruzicka

To CGY
Foegele
Holloway
Broberg
2024 1st (top 5 protected)

As you say most people realize that the coach and player didn't like each other. It's been mentioned here too that it's not like Berube held back on his thoughts on Kyrou or Thomas's play in the media (but that's overlooked)

So a media member (That clearly knows this too) goes and asks Kyrou his thoughts on Berube being let go...what's he supposed to say.

Should he just lie and be like "Yeah sad to see Berube go, he was a great coach and he did a lot for me".

Should he have told the truth and acutally said what he probably wanted to say which was "Happy to see him gone"

Or did he do what most hockey players would do 99% of the time in that situation and say "No comment, he's not my coach anymore"

Honestly the whole thing is so overblown. The real problem is Blues fans are just mad that Berube was fired and were looking for a scapegoat and Kyrou just happened to be the lucky beneficiary because he's having a rough start to the season.

But to say his comments were disrespectful is some of the funniest #### I've ever heard.

Personally though I hope it becomes even more toxic for Kyrou in St.Louis and I hope his play drops off even more...might be the best opportunity we have for a Huberdeau swap.

Perhaps, but think there could be players in Holloway and Broberg. Broberg could be a top 4 with some time, not for certain but possible. The first could be pretty decent as well.

No chance Broberg will be in top 6 with no hockey sense whatsoever. He's like a Nail Yakupov if you want a good comparison. Where's Nail these days?

Lots of players leave Edmonton and find their way because they are such a terrible organization at developing players, especially defenseman….. Jeff Petry is a great example.

Edmonton can't develop for #### unless it's automatic talent in the top 3.

Flames would've turned Holloway into a player. Not sure about Broberg.

It seems Vancouver made a minor trade: Jack Studnicka for Nick Cicek and 2024 6th

There maybe something to this Avs deal. Tracking it down... Last year they were hot on Lindholm.

Just got a quick text response, "Doubt it's the Flames, but didn't do a pulse check today".

Lindholm would be a scary fit in Colorado - scary good.

Oh stop it. Conroy is NOT going to help the Greasers.

Turning Markstrom/Ruzicka into a 1st + Holloway + Broberg is a pretty big “W” for the Flames.

I'd trade them Vladar, but it would cost a 2nd and Holloway. DH is a guaranteed bust if he stays in Edmonton anyways.

Vladar would push Skinner I think.

Some of you guys have low doorway headers or something? Stop suggesting Markstrom or Vladar to the Oilers, and get your head checked.

Oilers aren't winning anything with the likes of Vegas, LA and Colorado in their way. Not concerned.

If the Flames can extract assets from them in a moment of desperation they should do it. How they go about it is secondary.

I only care about what we're doing to improve this team 3 years from now.

What would Cgy want in a return from Colorado for Lindholm? I’ve looked at their top prospects and I’m not sure where to begin?

Sandman or anyone for that matter have any insight?
