Why would you want to highlight negatives instead of discussing improvements to make (or that have been made).
You betray your own attitude when you say you are dunking on someone who’s not even in the conversation. Juvenile.

Imagine spending time telling people what to say on a hockey forum. Arrogant.

I never told you what to say. I told you what I thought of it. Illiterate.

We have a $5.8million/year, 35-goal scorer in Mangiapane. If Huberdeau feeds him enough passes, Eat Bread should be able to pop them into the net.
If he can't finish, then what are we paying $5.8 million for?

The 35 goals he scored 2 years ago.

I'm just here to make sure I rile up Flames fans.

GioforPM is the gatekeeper at Calgarypuck.
God forbid you say anything critical if you are fan because then you are trolling.

That is interesting. I wonder how common that is. I'm too lazy to do the research on that one, but it seems like something that would be unusual.

Probably because they have no true top line or elite players.

There’s hardly any difference amongst the scorers so I’m not reading much into that. 11 players between 10 and 15 points with no player on pace for 60 points. Except maybe for Zary I suppose.

Yeah, it's actually not all the surprising considering the roster.
This team is like the Nintendo game Ice Hockey; where you pick all medium guys, no fat or skinny.

Mangiapane is as much a 35 goal player as Gary Leeman was a 50 goal player. Mangiapane is likely just a 20 - 25 goal guy. I'd love for him to prove me wrong though.

Fair point. I was looking at the stats and it is a crap shoot to who will lead the team in scoring at the end of the season, at least at this point. As fun as it is to have a couple of top players guaranteed to do it, it makes it more interesting this way.

Maybe not but still on pace for 67pts compared the Huberdeau on pace for 48 and making $1M more. It is remarkable that Huberdeau is actually on pace for a worse season this year vs last an utter disaster.

At this rate you just play him out with Backlund until we acquire, sign, or bring up another teammate that will help him get his game going again. Either we will need to acquire someone like Duclair (for familiarity) or hope that Pelletier is good to go and helps Huberdeau get back on track.

Yes. He’s here long term - no use whining about salary - just where best to play him to maximize his usefulness. And if the Flames are in rebuild it really doesn’t matter much anyway, until they start having to re-sign good young players. Then, with 4 years gone or so, he’s easier to move retained or even buy out. Plus the cap will be higher so his % will be less.

I don’t think you know what a gatekeeper is.
You are trolling because you post fact free BS in hopes of getting a response. Classic trolling. Fan or no.

Huberdeau is essentially buy out proof, due to bonus structure. Little savings.
If he was bought out with 4 years remaining, the savings would amount to about $3.6M.
