  • Conroy was hired on May 23.
  • The Predators hired Brunette on May 31.
  • The Flames hired Huska on June 12.

Was Brunette even an option for Conroy? With that timeline, it seems likely that Brunette was already well into the hiring process with the Preds before Conroy was even on the job.

I’m done blaming coaching. Huska hasn’t been the best but after the power struggle with Darryl last year and how that ended, It’s all on the players now.

It’s obvious some of them don’t want to be Flames anymore. The current core players have not clicked after 90+ games together now. The roster simply isn’t good enough

Can you really not tell the difference between this season where he is trying to compete and the same type of season where they acknowledge they are trying to rebuild. Give me a break.

Just remember our last season in the dumpster got us Tkachuk.

Can you stomach a season like that with hopefully more losses to get higher up.

I want them to get good value and recognize that the trade market is tight
But I think the Toffoli deal was fine and at most maybe you get a second instead of a third if you wait.
My point is that if he came into this season with all the pending ufas people would be all over Conroy.

We’ve heard the perspective has changed based on the start
A good manager reacts and pivots based on new data
It’s a good thing

Nobody is turning in him. I listed two things I thought he did poorly and one hing I thought he is doing well.

And saying I would have preferred we brought in an outside GM and coach isn't exactly a crazy take.

You called him a “bad choice”. I guess you haven’t turned on him because you clearly never were willing to give him a chance

One less UFA makes a difference. Come on, we still have lots if UFA's and nobody is complaining about it.

You can't expect a skilled West-East playmaker to have any success in a perimeter shooting low danger system.
Mackinnon would have scored more than 55 points under Huska or Sutter’s systems because Mackinnon is an elite play driver and one of the best skaters in hockey with elite skill. Nobody on this Flames team is close to having the talent and drive that Mackinnon has. If they did then they would’ve made the playoffs last year and would have a better record right now

Blaming the coach for turnovers? That's... one way to go.

Have I said he should be fired? I didn't know we weren't allowed to say we didn't like the Toffolli Trade or Huska hire.

We tried to compete in 15/16 as well and got Tkachuk.

It doesn't always go to plan.

Who said anything about what one is allowed to say?
just because someone disagrees with you doesn’t mean they are saying you aren’t allowed to say something

In spite of how the Flames play, they have enough talent to be a good (maybe not great) team.

Watching them is very unenjoyable with the same turnovers at the offensive blue line turning into odd man goals agains and being unable to finish when the finally generate good chances.

I don’t think you can call the Flames a team

There is little chemistry between them

"All of this is premature to be drawing such strong conclusions against"

I mean I had specific complains and your response was it was too early to talk about it.
