Threatening to hit Karlsson in the face with his stick was a little much. I wouldn't call that fiery as much as stupid.
I wish I could remember what player it was, but he called Binnington a mute. He said that he just skating up to him and stared without saying anything. It was a funny interview, but I can't find it.
If you listen to his post game interviews, he often comes off as a petulant child.

The game lacks life these days. He brings some of what is missing.

Maybe everyone in the league could be like Mcspecial and give a great vibe.

No one cares if a goalie is weird, as long as he stops pucks.
And for STL to be willing to trade Binnington for Campbell, with similar cap hits and term, would take a LOT of convincing, I would think.

Would have to be a three team deal too for cap reasons because the Blues have no cap space to absorb another contract from the Oilers and Binnington would put the Oilers over the cap.
If I was the Blues and I was actually committed to a full on rebuild, I would be willing to entertain it if I was extracting an incredible return. Campbell plus 3 first rounders would definitely do it for me. Some other team gets a 2nd for taking 1.4 million of Billington’s contract and the trade could happen.
It would be incredible if the Oilers traded their 1st round picks from 2022-2026 (5 firsts), a second, Tyson Barrie and a 4th and all they got back was a broken down Ekholm and Binnington.

He runs around like an idiot pretending to stick guys in the face.
In what world is that something anyone would want to watch?
That's the kind of dumb s*** that a******** do at beer league games, and it looks even dumber in the NHL.

"Trade Nail Yakupov? Not if you want to win a Stanley Cup."

Excerpt from the end:
(mind you in the print version he is much more ruthless in trying to take down my opinions - a colleague of mine was able to get me a copy)
"“Nail may be one PR disaster away from lowering his stock; GM Steve Tambellini should be shopping him like a Bugatti Veyron Super sports car.”
There’s also a chance Yakupov might not develop, Ralph notes. After all, didn’t former Soviet great Boris Mikhailov pointed out the young Russian winger is nowhere close to being as talented as the legendary Pavel Bure?
Yakupov “wandered aimlessly around the rink” at times during the World Junior tournament and had a “horrendous” start, Ralph also says, before he concludes: “The very reason why most might question why to trade him now is precisely the same reason to make the move promptly. Yakupov’s stock may never be higher than it is now.”
My take?
Well, you know you’re an Edmonton Oilers fan when your team is loaded with young superstars but the rest of the hockey world is only obsessed with how quickly these stars can be stolen away."

The biggest problem for all of the greaser fans proposed trades is that it's one thing to maybe swap a struggling starter for a struggling starter, but Campbell has proven he straight up doesn't belong. St. Louis might not love what they have right now with Binny, but he can at least go in and give them a chance (surprise, his numbers are quite a bit better than soups this year so far). Campbell gives you nothing. So any trade involves a team paying millions a year and burning nearly 4mil cap each year for absolutely zero potential support. Even teams that like to sell their cap space for prospects aren't going to be interested because there's still like 12mil in wages to be actually paid.
No one is going to trade a goalie they might use for one they never will. Which means they have no trade partner until teams know more of what they have and even then, all they will get is another brand of soup that maybe can play better. All for what you can absolutely expect is the cost to take on dead cap for years from a team that is desperate with a GM like Holland trying to negotiate the deal.

Oh man that’s gold. Funniest part is that Morgan Reilly could still be on their team if they had actual scouts. I think 2012 was one of the years they drafted their scout’s kids. David Musil?!?
