What an outrageous take. Why would he need to spell his own name?
The NHL is reluctant to accept player contracts signed with an X.

It kind of goes with their strategy of collecting #######s, so I believe it.
Ignoring the tampering, and ignoring the fact that the other side would have to also be interested, and ignoring the fact that Binnington has an NTC (for exactly this reason), let's try and hammer out a fair or reasonable trade.
Binnington has 3 more years at $6M. Obviously Campbell (3 more years at $5M) has to be going back the other way, so what does EDM have to add, to entice STL to do this?
Pfft...yeah right...if it puts cash in their coffers they'd let people sign with a bloody fingerprint.
Sure, but not with an X. Elon Musk might sue for trademark infringement.

Holloway + 1st + 2nd?
Bouchard + Holloway + 2nd?
What could possibly make STL want to do this?
Suspect the Blues think they are at the start of a rebuild (starting last year at the deadline). If one thinks that Binnington has some value and moving the Campbell contract with nobody coming back would cost two firsts I think something like
Bouchard + 1st + 2nd could get it done. Or Holloway and two firsts. One has to think that the Oilers will overpay.
Hasn't Binnington been pretty terrible outside of those first 6 months of 2019?
He is decent so far this year but yes he has been terrible for the last two years which makes him a perfect target for the Oilers.
Campbell is horrific though. To pick up that contract would have to be two first round picks. So it is whatever the value of a Stanley Cup winning goalie is to a team desperate to find a goalie plus two firsts in my opinion.
After the Sharks pump 6 past Skinner tomorrow night the price goes up.

I agree with your general summaries, but to add, Stauffer gets so loud and worked up, huffing and puffing whenever something goes wrong for the Oil, I swear he's just going to keel over on air one day. Hope not, but holy smokes guy, chill out.
Spector is a dumb homer (not if, but how many, etc. etc.), thinks he's really smart, then whenever something goes wrong with that team he plays the "tough media guy" and throws out any outlandish criticism he can muster for clicks on his articles so he can pass himself off as unbiased.
Both are super annoying.
Spector is what every sports journalist should aspire not to be, if you can even call him that (it's a stretch).
Does all the toxic #### that makes the people who are the subjects hate working there when struggles happen, and doesn't see anything wrong with it.
He's so thick that players will call out his tweets/linked articles for being hogwash and he thinks they're just being his buddies bantering with him.

Non of that says psychopath, but kind of neat to watch, haha. He's fiery, I love that.
Quite the opposite. Psychopaths generally have shallow affect and don't show a lot of emotion.
