I don’t know. I wouldn’t want to put female inmates in harms way. Even though they are inmates, they still have rights. It’s not a ‘shot’ against trans people, not at all. I’m sure it would not be a problem with 99.9 percent of trans people. It’s the small percentage that might be a problem.

What about the rights of the trans? The proposal is to segregate them into their own facility. Do we think sexual assaults won't happen there, or the alternative of putting them into the mens facility (I can't imagine how bad that would be)?

Trans also deserve the right to protection. The same way women do. I don’t think they should have to be in the men’s facility either, probably would be absolutely horrible for them there.
If a separate facility is the safest way to go, then maybe that’s what it should be.
